Open NSynth Super is an experimental physical interface for NSynth, a machine learning algorithm developed by Google Brain’s Magenta team to generate new, unique sounds that exist between different sounds.

Open NSynth Super allows you to create and explore new sounds that it generates through a simple to use hardware interface that integrates easily into any musician’s production rig. To find out more, visit the NSynth Super website.

This instrument is ready to play and requires a MIDI device to control.

There are a few slight differences in parts used in this version compared to the original BOM.

The 6 potentiometers do not have a center detent and can be swept across their entire range.
The encoders have a smooth action and are more sensitive.
These small changes increase the playability of the instrument and allow for a much broader scope of uses.

This enclosure has enhanced durability, access to the 4 rPi USB ports, and an HDMI Port exposed on the side of the instrument.

Awesome buy if you don't want to build your own

I bought this because I tried building my own and failed... or atleast thought I did. While my original one appeared to be toast, I was excited to see this listing. This unit is completely assembled, so no need to worry about soldering skills. Once you receive it, just hook it up with your own wires and power supply, then you're good to go. Since I received mine, I found a fix for the original one I built on the Nsynth Github. It looks like I went from none, to having two now! Haha.
