Update for V2.0 Added a 6-axis IMU (icm-42688-p) similar to StarlightEye with CMOS's VSYNC connected to IMU's FSYNC Sidenotes: The IMU power is controlled by camera enable pin, so it will only …
Read More…OneInchEye is a cutting-edge, open-source camera board designed specifically for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 boards. It features the IMX283CQJ one-inch CMOS image sensor with a color square pixel array, approximately 20.30 million effective pixels, and a 12-bit digital output. This sensor delivers high-resolution images and videos with improved low-light performance and dynamic range. The board also includes an integrated TMP117 temperature sensor for precise temperature measurements.
Please note that the OneInchEye is designed for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 boards with a 22-pin FPC connector with 4-lane MIPI interface and use the same pinout as the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 IO Board. Ensure compatibility with your specific board before proceeding. OneInchEye's 4-lane MIPI interface requirements makes it incompatible with most standard Raspberry Pi boards, so it is crucial to verify the compatibility of your Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 board before using OneInchEye.
Be aware that the driver for OneInchEye is currently in development, and using the camera board may require you to compile the Linux kernel. We are actively working on improving the driver and streamlining the integration process, but please consider this aspect before using OneInchEye in your projects.
We created OneInchEye to address the need for a high-quality, affordable, and accessible camera module for advanced Raspberry Pi projects. With the growing popularity of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, we recognized that the community would benefit from a camera board that enhances their projects' capabilities while staying within budget constraints. Our goal was to enable photography enthusiasts, developers, and makers to take their Raspberry Pi projects to the next level with a powerful camera module.
OneInchEye stands out from other camera boards due to its unique combination of features and compatibility:
