The board consists of an ATMEGA32u4 (like Arduino Micro and Leonardo) together with the nRF24L01+, RF circuitry, PCB antenna and a full size USB2.0 male connector. This is a fully Arduino compatible board with power, analog, digital and serial communication port markings on the top and bottom side. You can use it as a standalone Arduino or as a wireless transmitter/receiver.
Features:
ATMEGA32u4 8-bit MCU, 32KB Flash and on-chip USB Controller
nRF24L01+ 2.4GHz Transceiver
Extremely small form factor: 5.5cm x 2cm (2.17in x 0.8in)
Onboard 3.3V regulator with 500mA peak current output. When used as standalone (not connected to USB), it can be powered through the "5v" marked port. The input voltage range can be from 4.5v to 12v.
Separate 16MHz crystals for the MCU and RF chip to reduce interference
8 digital pins with Arduino markings on top and bottom
6 analog pins with Arduino markings on top and bottom (5 additional analog inputs shared with digital pins)
I2C available from pins 2(SDA) and 3(SCL)
Arduino UART and SPI available and marked.
Green LED connected to the Arduino D13 (Arduino Micro LED_BUILTIN!)
Reset button
Breadboard compatible in case you decided to solder male headers under the board.
Ships with Arduino bootloader installed
PDF Schematics can be found from the "Datasheet" link below.
You can find the sample Arduino sketch which the boards are shipped with, from the Woodoonics FuseRF GitHub https://github.com/woodoonics/FuseRF. This sketch sets the board as a wireless echo device which echoes back any character it receives. You can copy the pin definitions and setup code directly from this sketch and use them in your own applications.
There's also a "FuseRF Serial Transmit" sketch which can be used together with the "FuseRF Echo". The "FuseRF Serial Transmit" reads a character from a serial terminal, sends the character and waits 500 milliseconds for an echo back. It then types the echoed character or indicates if no echo was received.
