What is it?

Hard plastic (ABS mix) case in 2 parts which screw together (4 self-tapping screws provided) with a moulded silicone joint for waterproofing (nominally IP67, but not certified). The front part is transparent, and the rear is opaque (cream coloured).

A set of holes allow air pressure equalisation while a gortex like filter (provided) stops water entry (alternatively the holes can be easily sealed with hot glue or silicone)

A specially moulded wall mount clips to the case and offsets it from the structure by 50mm and has either 4 screws or a keyhole mount to the wall.

Alternatively, the rear part of the case has openings for zip or other ties, and the possibility to screw into the case in 4 positions

Inside the space has an area designed to take a AA sized battery (with flying leads, no battery clip hw) and offsets/clip for a specific PCB size.

Why did you make it?

For wall mounted/crate attach geolocation device product that was discontinued. These cases are the surplus stock - never been used or even taken out of the delivery boxes!

What makes it special?

Its a nice hand sized case that is water resistant, and has the space to stuff in some project electronics and a battery. A properly shaped board could take full advantage of the space, and its deep enough to have a multi-PCB set pile...
