Overview

This board is an easy way to get your PIC projects started. It includes everything you need to start using a PIC at the core of your project. And the PIC18F46K22 is a great chip to use for projects that require more performance and features than a PIC16.

It includes a PIC18F46K22, 16mhz crystal oscillator, ICSP header, 40pin dip socket, a 2.1mm barrel jack, 2 programmable buttons, and power input/output headers.

It also has bypass capacitors on the power input, regulator, and output to help prevent interference.

Below is a link to an example project. You can use this code as a basis for your projects. It shows all the configs necessary to run the PIC18F46K22 at 64Mhz, and it shows all the settings needed to use the on board buttons.

Notes

• If you apply power through the barrel jack, the Power Input header will give you barrel jack power to provide extra voltage throughout your circuit.

• It's best not to apply power through the ICSP header. It is connected so that the voltage levels can be detected by the ICD.
