What is it?

This is basically a modified version of BBQ20 keyboard from Solder Party. I removed the I2C interface and added 2 extra shoulder keys on top just like a gamepad. This keyboard with trackpad is powered by the Raspberry Pi RP2040 MCU and operates under QMK Firmware, seamlessly transforming into a USB HID Keyboard and Mouse combo.

As this keyboard boasts a limited number of keys, we understand that personal preferences for keycodes and layout may vary. Thanks to the flexibility of QMK firmware, you can effortlessly customize and define your keycodes and layout using the VIA on web.

Tutorial about how to customize your own keymapping

This keyboard can work as a keyboard and mouse combo when connected to a computer (Windows/Linux/MacOS), a phone (android/iphone) or even a SBC (Raspberry Pi, etc).

Perfect and exactly what I needed.

Shipped it to Canada and was realistic about the timelines as it was ordered before the winter holidays. Everything was well packaged and within expected timelines, about 3 weeks. I got both the BB9900 and the BBQ20 and they came with additional 3D printed covers that is easy to switch out. The 3D printed covers are of pretty good quality as well. Both worked right out of the box without any need to tinker - just needed to supply my own cables. Worked on my Raspberry Pi 5 as well as my windows laptop and android smartphone. Documentation was great as I wanted to see what the different layers were.

Amazing

Great product no problems whatsoever, just plug and play. I used it on my phone, tablet, pc, and xbox work perfect. Took awhile to be delivered but it arrived safely with no damage.

what a cool device

I bought this device for use with raspberry pi and my phone, particularly for vnc.

I miss my old sony experia pro and its slide out keyboard masterpiece.

Excellent Seller providing an excellent device

As an avid fan of BB10 phones back in the day, this is a beautiful device that brings back the convenience and pleasure of days gone by to modern phones. The Seller is quick to respond, and provided exactly what was promised. The device itself has the flexibility to map keys as required which I have yet to test but will enjoy playing with, and the hardware performs beautifully on a windows 11 machine, an android phone (tested) and hope to use with my ios phone also (untested).

One improvement I could recommend only is outside the sellers control - DHL. They quote 3-6 days, but the parcel still took 11 days to get from Germany to the UK in total from order to arrival. Minor issue and DHL's not the seller - it did arrive safely after all.

I really recommend this seller highly, a credit to this platform.

Excellent keyboard!

This is proving extremely useful for working with various raspberry pi's and other systems which I do not, normally, dedicate a keyboard to. I haven't tested if it's PS/2 compatible yet, but I mostly use it with USB-capable devices anyway. The pink case is awesome and the black case was included, so I have a backup if I damage the case or just want a different style.

It's extremely lightweight and pocketable, and comes in a nice case to keep it safe in your pocket. The packaging was damaged on arrival, and there was too much space inside, allowing the item to bounce around a lot, but it arrived safely and in good condition, regardless. Very happy with this purchase!

All keys work, key presses are responsive, and the mouse is very usable; much more so than I expected.

a worth buying thing for the BB fans

Upon receiving this compact keyboard and running my fingers across it, it instantly transported me back nearly a decade to the first time I interacted with my beloved BlackBerry Q20 phone. This keyboard and the 3d-printed case complement each other seamlessly.

Regarding the keyboard itself, it's a remarkable device that fits in your pocket, always at your beck and call. I've tested it on a computer, an Android phone, and a Linux terminal, and the results were pleasantly surprising. I no longer need to carry a large keyboard and a mouse on my travels.

I've even gone ahead and ordered another version of the BlackBerry keyboard from the Tindie store, the BB9900 keyboard. If a Bluetooth-enabled version of this keyboard becomes available in the future, I'll definitely be buying it.

PS: The shipping was exceptionally fast!
