Chronoverter exceeds expectations.
For "Chronvertor” Time Protocol Simulation Module
Ok, this is a handy little device, perhaps along the lines of something you thought of cobbling together for yourself, but never got around to.
The maker thought of everything, it seems. I hooked mine up to a clock expecting WWVB and it locked very quickly. That is it locked after I used the feature that allows the polarity of the signal to be inverted. Like I say, he thought of everything.
The user manual alone is worth looking as it lays out, in one place, all your standard time broadcast protocols.
It's a small circuit board. I imagine there aren't that many people who would even know what it is, much less have a need for. So perhaps there won't be enough demand to induce development of a miniaturized version.
The RS-232 output signals are true, so I had to invert them to accommodate my connection for setting the parameters. I used an FTDI->USB dongle and a dumb terminal program on my Mac. Just fine.
