My name is Steve and I am an electronics and music enthusiast. By day, I am a Digital Signal Processing Engineer designing hardware circuits and writing DSP code. By night, I am a guitar/bass player with a hobby business building custom effects and mods for local musicians.

I have spent 25 years building guitar amps, effects and more recently have been working with DSP modelling and MIDI.

The order arrived well packed and on time. Board quality is good and all the mechanical parts worked right out of the box. I've only had time to work with it for a bit, but it does everything I hoped.

Just what I needed!

For Arduino Teensy Guitar Audio Shield

I realised ages ago that whilst I could put together a rudimentary digital circuit I was clueless when it comes to analogue audio. This board is just great and perfect for me. Steve was also really helpful with shipping. I plan to put it inside an 80's digital guitar for built-in effects and it is just the right size, sounds great and plays nicely with other Arduino boards and the IDE (I have connected them over serial). The only downside for me was the import costs, but that was to be expected. Well worth the money to get programmable guitar effects.

What a supercool music-thing!!!

For Arduino Teensy Guitar Audio Shield

I am developing synths on the Teensy audio platform. So I tried to get my port of the MDAPiano and Dexed to bring onto the TGA. I only needed to make some small additions to the used DAC in the code and it works! Now I just have to add small changes for the controllers to the code. I will release everything the next month. Awesome product, good sound, easy to develop

For Arduino Teensy Guitar Audio Shield

Did not take long to get up and running with this board and a teensy 3.6! Timely shipping too.

Great user guide/ documentation, quality board and example codes/ library. Was able to use the Blackaddr example codes and the Teensy visual audio dsp programming tool to make a variety of effects!

Was able to use the pins on this board to add buttons/ rotary encoders, the PC based MIDI controller was great too. I would recommend this hardware for Teensy audio over trying to design your own instrument pre-amp & codec circuit. I have followed schematics for other projects and built my own pre-amps to interface my guitar with a Teensy 3.6, always had noise issues. Blackaddr nailed it, no noise at all. Well designed circuit. One could use this platform for a great variety of audio projects. Sounded awesome as a programmable guitar pedal, which is how I chose to use it.
