A truly first-class solution for high-power USB-C devices

For Chargatron 100W USB-C PD+PPS Charger, 9-36V DC

This charger has worked flawlessly across a wide range of high-power USB-C devices, successfully negotiating the correct high-voltage rails for: iPhone 11 Pro (9V), iPhone 11 Pro battery case (15V), an M1 Air and M1 Max MacBook Pro (20V), and USB-C in on two RavPower batteries (9V).

I've pushed it to ~90W sustained without issue, and see a *clean* 20V off the charger even under heavy load.

It's also happy to step down to 5V at 2.4A for those lowly, tiny USB Micro-B charger inputs.

It's a key addition to anyone looking to quickly (and safely!) charge a high-power USB-C device on the road, and doubly so for van/RV builds: running DC-DC and avoiding the roundtrip through AC on an inverter and back to DC off a charger brick has been a real gift to my daily house battery usage.

So, so happy to find this product, and I can't speak of it highly enough.

(System notes: I'm running it on a nominal 12V DC LiFePO4-based system, ~13.6-14.4V actual.)

For AutoUSB: 15W USB C Charger+ Carplay/Android Auto

In my opinion, one of the great travestries of wired Android Auto and Carplay is that vehicle manufactures and aftermarket head unit manufacturers don't provide enough voltage over their USB connections. People are running maps and streaming music and if they are lucky, their modern phone battery can at best hold a charge while plugged in, and many actually lose charge while connected. This little invention eloquently alleviates that issue, and combines 12V power with the head unit's data connection, all while converting to a modern USB type C female port that installs in your dash with a 20mm hole. I used a step bit (christmas tree bit) to get a perfect round hole in my VW's blank switch cover and tapped into the cigarette lighter wires. It works well. I'd love it more if it could charge at 20W or more for today's quick charging phones, but 15W is double the power from the head unit's USB A cable.
