I ordered two of these boards but only one arrived. I attempted to contact the seller but they have gone silent.

Excellent board

For ESP32 Dev Board WiFi+Bluetooth

Using the board to build a weather station, I had previously tried a standard ESP32 board, but it drained the battery in only 4 days.
With this board it is possible to have a truly interesting autonomy.
WiFi range is really significant, I didn't try the bluetooth.
Icing on the cake, I received the board only one week after order, but I am in Europe !

Low current deep sleep board

For ESP32 Dev Board WiFi+Bluetooth

I bought this board after searching for an affordable low power consumption board during deep sleep. This test was promising: https://github.com/grillbaer/esp32-power-consumption-test, and the board delivers. With 5.2V of battery input I get 53mA wake and 10.6uA deep sleep consumption. With an efficient external 3.3 V power supply also purchased here at tindie (https://www.tindie.com/products/makertronika-labs/olmboard-tps62840-ulp-buck-converter-60na-iq/) I could get even better 37.3mA wake and 8.3uA deep sleep current. With these values a battery powered device is certainly feasible.

The RGB LEDs are nice to have, and the board is breadboard-friendly. The fonts of the silk are too small for my eyes, I just have a look at the pinout diagram and count pins ;) A good board for a great price! Maybe a LiPo connection with charger would be a great addon, if you can maintain the low power consumption.

Pretty good.

It is overall good quality. As others have noted putting a note on the silkscreen on the direction for the different voltages would be helpful. It does use a mini usb connector so I had to dig up a cable for that but I should’ve noticed that.

Ordered 2, arrived quickly in Switzerland, work like a charm

The two boards arrived quickly, they worked well and are very handy with breadboards. The 4 available leds (1 blue and 1 RGB) will simplify show simple status during development (so far I had to blink one at various rate).
The schematic is not totally up to date apparently, but this is documented in a note.
You find the ports of the LED in the pinout and the schematic.
Much better that the chinese boards for development so far.

Nice ESP32 board w/RGB LED, and auto-load WORKS!

For ESP32 Dev Board WiFi+Bluetooth

I'm just learning to use ESP32 after plenty of experience with Arduino. I bought some cheap ESP32 boards from Amazon but the auto-load function did not work, requiring me to press two buttons in sequence for every code upload. I found this Tindie board auto-loads every time. Also, it provides an RGB LED that's nice and bright and very useful. Beware though, this board has 40 pins unlike the typical 38 pin design, and it's 2.3" long instead of 1.9", so you'll have to roll your own case design.

Thanks for helping me discover switching LM7805 replacements, but I can get CUI VXO7805-1000 for half the price.

It is true that that module cost less than the PSU3-5 but its and apples and oranges comparison. The PSU3 and PSU2 families of regulators require NO external parts and can be plugged into a breadboard and will "just work". The CUI modules require external capacitors to work and the placement of the capacitors is semi-critical. If they are too far those modules oscillate and may expose your circuits to voltages higher than 5V when they oscillate.

Great product!

The ESP22 board was delivered very fast. The boards are just perfect and the idea to integrate two 2 RGB LEDs directly on the board is just brilliant. All the boards I received work without flaw :-). I would definitely buy more products from this provider!

Very good, can't fault anything.

For I2C bi-directional level shifter

Storm damage took out my previous commercial sensor system, so needed to create a quick replacement.
Am using 4 inputs of this module to read 2 PIRs, beam-break, and magnetic door contacts.
Using 12v high side for sensor relay contact pullups which short to 0v when triggered.
Low side outputs connecting to an 8bit PCF8574 port expander on an ESP-8266 running a brilliant new firmware called Annex Wifi Basic which has not even been released yet.
The seller knew of my situation and despatched the modules (I bought an extra as a spare) the very next day prior to going on summer break. They even added something extra which I had not ordered or paid for... thanks guys.
Can't praise them or their product highly enough, and the only reason I didn't give them perfect scores across the board was because it may have devalued the review by appearing to be from an insider, which I am not.

Works Fine

For ESP32 Dev Board WiFi+Bluetooth

I had been looking for some breadboard friendly ESP32 breakout boards and this one proved to be one of the best. The PCB is compact and of good quality. But the silkscreen could've been better. It's difficult to read the pin names printed on the PCB. I like the RGB LEDs and the smaller CP2104. But one thing I did not like is the push-buttons. They're easily breakable and one of the boards I bought came with a damaged push button. But I can fix that. But my suggestion is to use a better push-button probably with metal covering. I bought three of these boards in a single order and thanks to the seller, he sent me ESP32 revision 1 boards.

highly compatible

I'm using this with Lobo Micropython and it loads and runs well. It seems to be compatible with WROVER based boards. Would like extra SPIRAM for heap space.

Great little adapter.

For USB to Serial / UART 5V or 3.3V ($6.95)

I found this unit to be perfect for communicating with embedded Linux controllers that use 3.3V serial. Plugged it into my Windows PC, it quickly enumerated as COM3, and PuTTY connected straight away.

As others have noted, the 3.3/5V select switch could use some silk-screening, as I lost the documentation almost instantly.

Fortunately, Daniel quickly responded to my query: "When the switch is closest to the USB connector, the module provides 5V. When the switch slider is closest to the connector end the module is in 3.3V mode." Thanks Daniel!

Perfect!

For 5V 1A Switch-Mode Voltage Regulator, 40V Max input

I bought this item because I needed a steady 5V output from a 12V input and linear regulators were running really hot. Dropped one of these babies in and everything's chugging along smoothly.
Its literally a 7805 replacement, so with the component side facing you (i.e the side with ezsbc.com written on it), the pinout is: Vin, Ground, Vout.
Definitely recommended!!

First time using the ESP32 with zero problems

For ESP32 Dev Board WiFi+Bluetooth

This is my first time using an ESP32 board and getting this little dev board working couldn't be easier. The install IDE instructions are easy to follow, it came with a schematic and led blink example sketch. I've installed it in IDE v1.8.0 and everything compiled and uploaded fine. No need to press any buttons on the board. Shipping was surprisingly fast and inexpensive as well.

Great but missing 3.3V/5V switch indication on PCB

Great product, just what I needed. I didn't pay attention when I bought it, but there is no indication on PCB on what position the switch is for 3.3V or 5V, I do not have documentation or voltmeter each time I need to use it.
Adding this information on PCB silk would obtain 5 stars on each category.

Great little bit for your kit!

We use usb to serial adapters all the time, when we start out with Arduino, most boards we buy have it built in; but as we grow, we find different needs/requirements result in different chip/board choices. A good usb-serial adapter is essential. This fits the bill perfectly & is easily adjustable for voltage supply. This is a great little board & compact. The usb port is solidly mounted and has survived being tossed about & a lot of abuse -- more than I can say for some of the other boards I've tried.
Recommended! you won't be disappointed.

Great alternative to more expensive FTDI adapters

For USB to Serial / UART 5V or 3.3V ($6.95)

I am using this adapter to program and talk to Moteinos via USB serial. It works great. The voltage selection switch is nice although I have not had a need to change it from its default setting.

A minor "by-design" issue that I ran into is that one should not leave the adapter connected to a target device (like the Moteino) if the device is in-service and powered by a separate source -- in that case there will be a voltage conflict on the Vout pin of the adapter (the adapter puts its own voltage on this pin, and the target also puts a voltage, which most likely will be different, on the same pin). To avoid this problem and so one could leave the adapter connected while the target is in-service it would be nice if the adapter had a jumper or switch so one can manually kill power on the Vout pin. There are other solutions, like bending the Vout pin, or creating a small adapter that leaves out the Vout pin, so this is not a major problem.

The pins of the manually soldered female header were left too long on the other side of the PCB, causing the pins to interfere with my circuit. I trimmed them myself but it'd be good if the maker ships the adapter with the pins already trimmed.

Overall, I think that this is a good product and at a good price. I am happy I bought it. Review Image

Really nicely designed device

For ArduRF1s Arduino with RF-link and Battery Power

Using it for wireless comms and this was the sweetspot with easy and cheap, The solar charging and batter operation means I am going to buy more for new projects!

Brilliant idea, perfect for prototyping and final assembly

For 3.3V 1A Switch-Mode Voltage Regulator

More and more these days we're using sensors, displays, and components that run only at 3.3V, yet are getting power from USB connections and/or microcontrollers operating at 5.0V. This handy little device makes it easy to provide 3.3V power, fits in the same space (and pinout) as the typical LM780X low drop-out linear regulators, but is a more efficient switching design. I also like that you can order the unit with straight pins, right-angle pins, or no pins. (I needed a no-pin version for my project.)

It would be nice if a future version labeled the pins in some way. I always have to stop and check (looking to see which pin has a square solder pad) to be sure.

The seller was very accommodating and great in communicating about my order. Highly recommended!
