About

I am a medical doctor currently living and working in china. I have a degree in electronics and its my hobby and passion to make DIY electronics time to time.

When I first arrived in China I discovered a world of cheap electronic components from which I could make practically anything I wanted. I started making things for myself then moved on to making gifts for my friends. Pretty soon, my services were in demand from others: hobbyists, small IOT investors, university professors. I bought components online and shipped kits to my customers in Europe and America.

Building custom-made products in small quantities wasn't easy. But slowly, with the help of friends we built our own factory — a small house, more like a garage, actually — where we designed, produced and programmed our own PCBs.

Our vision is to make IOT available to anyone lacking the funds to start things on their own. And although we want our business to be successful, our main driver isn’t profit — we want to help the community make things or make them available for everyone to use.

Our aim is to do this by helping hobbyists, makers, IOT investors, university professors — and anyone else who wants to learn about IOT hardware.

Today, our small company continues to play its part in the journey to a connected future.

Excellent, well made product

A little fiddly at first to insert new ESPs, from fear of bending pins. Familiarity solved that...
Great product, if you use ESP-07, ESP-12/12E or 12F in bare module form, you need this.
Will doon order the ESP32 version.

Great idea, but really fiddly

For ESP32S FrogBoard ESP-WROOM32 Development Board

The ESP8266 board is really nice, while this one is a great idea in theory, two of the pins bent and disappeared beneath the board on my second attempt to fasten an ESP32, and then one of the pins simply broke off when I tried to fix it.

It's good enough I guess, but handle it with care.

Excellent board. The missing link

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

This boards fits exactly the twilight zone between dev (nodeMCU, D1 etc) and full production (exposing 4 ports and using external FTDI).
It works flawlessly and very easy to use.
I had some issue with the original shipment. After short communication with the developer I received a new board VERY fast.

Very cool Product

I had some esp12F's lying around and wanted to do something with them.
But i didn't want to solder them every time i wanted to change something or use a fixed board adapter.

So in short words this is very cool. I would even say one of the coolest things I have in my collection.
Not because it's the most complex technology but because it's so simple and smart :)

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

The Frog Board is perfect for anyone who is interested in using the inexpensive ESP8266 module for their IoT projects. After I first became interested in the ESP8266, I spent a lot of time trying (and failed) to figure out how to upload sketches without having the module soldered to a breadboard adapter (or as part of a more expensive development board). The Frog Board is a much simpler and much more elegant solution than mine and does not require any soldering to upload sketches. Moreover, the integrated FTDI makes it quite easy to program. I was able to upload several of my test sketches on 3 different modules within 15-20 min. The only (minor) trouble I had was in making sure the frog pins attached to the correct locations before snapping the module down (more a problem of my aging vision than anything else). The documentation was a bit sparse for someone who is completely new to the ESP8266, but anyone who has experience using one of the many available ESP8266 development boards will figure it out quickly and be delighted.
