Excellent, well made product

A little fiddly at first to insert new ESPs, from fear of bending pins. Familiarity solved that...
Great product, if you use ESP-07, ESP-12/12E or 12F in bare module form, you need this.
Will doon order the ESP32 version.

Great idea, but really fiddly

For ESP32S FrogBoard ESP-WROOM32 Development Board

The ESP8266 board is really nice, while this one is a great idea in theory, two of the pins bent and disappeared beneath the board on my second attempt to fasten an ESP32, and then one of the pins simply broke off when I tried to fix it.

It's good enough I guess, but handle it with care.

Excellent board. The missing link

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

This boards fits exactly the twilight zone between dev (nodeMCU, D1 etc) and full production (exposing 4 ports and using external FTDI).
It works flawlessly and very easy to use.
I had some issue with the original shipment. After short communication with the developer I received a new board VERY fast.

Very cool Product

I had some esp12F's lying around and wanted to do something with them.
But i didn't want to solder them every time i wanted to change something or use a fixed board adapter.

So in short words this is very cool. I would even say one of the coolest things I have in my collection.
Not because it's the most complex technology but because it's so simple and smart :)

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

The Frog Board is perfect for anyone who is interested in using the inexpensive ESP8266 module for their IoT projects. After I first became interested in the ESP8266, I spent a lot of time trying (and failed) to figure out how to upload sketches without having the module soldered to a breadboard adapter (or as part of a more expensive development board). The Frog Board is a much simpler and much more elegant solution than mine and does not require any soldering to upload sketches. Moreover, the integrated FTDI makes it quite easy to program. I was able to upload several of my test sketches on 3 different modules within 15-20 min. The only (minor) trouble I had was in making sure the frog pins attached to the correct locations before snapping the module down (more a problem of my aging vision than anything else). The documentation was a bit sparse for someone who is completely new to the ESP8266, but anyone who has experience using one of the many available ESP8266 development boards will figure it out quickly and be delighted.

The hardware is great just wish there was more on
the software setup and programing, what I mean is
where to go to see how to setup using the board.
As I said the board is really great and made really well.
The acrylic backing is great. Thank you for making it.

I am thrilled!

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

I saw this board being reviewed by Seon on "Unexpected Maker" YouTube and ordered one immediately.
It came quite fast in the post and after a bit of finagling I figured out what I was doing wrong.
Make sure you select NodeMCU and it will program fine.
Right off from the start I programmed 3 boards in just a few minutes.
I couldn't be happier. Money well spent.

Difficult for a newbie

For ESP32S FrogBoard ESP-WROOM32 Development Board

Fortunately I found Seon on Unexpected Maker and followed his short video and I managed to make my ESP32 blink.
A simple INO file and short video on your page would have alleviated a lot of my distress.
Other than that, its well packaged, shipped fast, looks great.

So simple and works so well

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

This review is about my second Frog Board, I liked the first one so much I bought another one. It is so simple to use just push the esp8266 into place and away you go, I love the on-board power switch and the on-board reset switch. With it's inbuilt power regulator you can simply power it through the USB connection on the board from any decent USB port or power supply.
It's perfect to quickly swap from one esp to another allowing you to program a batch of them with ease, the only reason I bought a second one was because I needed two esp's on at the same time and didn't want to solder them onto a Veroboard straight away, whilst I was still trying things out.
I would recommend this product.

Well built, useful board

I ordered the board and it was shipped on 23 April and arrived 22 May which is ok as you cannot get these boards (or anything like them) anywhere else. Comms we ok too.

The board is well built and sturdy. The flexible pins work really well allowing the ESP32S to be 'snapped' in and out easily. The board uses a Silicon Labs CP210x USB to Serial chip which, on a Mac at least, requires a driver. https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers provided the required info and download links.

Now looking forward to building some cool hacks with MicroPython.

Works like a charm!

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

Just tested it, and it works!
Tested and confirmed working on ESP-12E, ESP-12F and ESP-07S.
It's easy to fit a ESP-07S board although it do not have the bottom connectors.

!!Remember to read the instructions, so you select the correct board!!
I struggled a minute or two before I read it. But, easy as pie!

I plan to upload OTA code my ESPs and solder them to a PCB. Excellent tool for that.

It comes with a micro USB cable.

The board uses a CH340G USB to Serial chip which, on a Mac at least, requires a driver. https://sparks.gogo.co.nz/ch340.html provided the required info and download links. Take note of the versions on MacOSX Sierra as it really does crash your Mac when you plug the board in!

Now looking forward to building some cool hacks with MicroPython.

ESP32 FrogoPins

For ESP32S FrogBoard ESP-WROOM32 Development Board

This board is perfect for my project. I'm planning on pre-programming for OTA then solder the modules on to a custom PCB. This is exactly what I need to do some mall number manufacturing for my first poc product. The only issue I've had is the bottom gold pin isn't connecting that might have been when I switched the module out to verify my esp32 modules worked so I can review them too.

Keep up the great work and excited to use your development board.

An excellent product for the ESP-12E module.

For ESP8266 FrogBoard ; Frogo Pins! ESP-12E Dev Board

I was looking for a way to test and experiment with some discount ESP-12E modules bought on-line. The ESP8266 Frog Board was the only solution I found that offered a great price and had the features I wanted. I ordered one and was not disappointed when it quickly arrived in good quality packaging. Inside was the Frog Board, a convenient USB data connection cable and a ESP8266MOD module inserted onto the board.

The quality of the printed circuit board looks good, the Plexiglas base is useful and the white printed frog graphic is a nice touch. Plugging the board into a USB power stick I pushed the board's power button and the ubiquitous blink program started flashing the ESP-12E's blue LED.

I swapped in all the ESP-12 modules I have and easily tested them using the Arduino IDE. The Frog board has all the features I wanted and was really the only piece of hardware available that does the job for me. It is a quality solution for the ESP12E module.

Excellent looking display

For 2.42" Monochrome OLED I2C display

Optimum size, well built, strong black background and good white/grey pixels.

Great Development Board

For ESP32S FrogBoard ESP-WROOM32 Development Board

As described the board comes with an ESP-WROOM32 and a USB cable and was packed in a nice little plastic box.
An acrylic board is attached to the bottom of the PCB to avoid shortings when placed on a table.
If handled with care, its not too hard to snap mount the ESP-32 on the board.
It took me some time to find out that, unlike the ESP8266 Frog Board, you have to hold the 'prog' button to upload your sketch or the filesystem.

All in all, it is an excellent development board if you want to program a barebone ESP-32.

I odered at 24th of December and the product arrived at 31st of January which was quite ok for me.

great little breakout board

I love the concept, ESP8266 with snap in mounting, a reset switch, a power switch, a USB programming port and a voltage converter. The only other thing I need is to know which pins connect to the LEDs on the Frogo Pins

Absolutely happy with it :)

I just tested 15 ESP boards for flash sizes, after I had soldered an ESP12 with 2MB instead of 4MB flash size. This board works like a charm, the on/off switch makes sense to easily remove the modules after flashing / testing. The programmer came with an ESP12 module and a USB cable in a nice plastic box, the acrylic board on the bottom makes this thing look good on the table. The PCB layout looks solid, the pins work as they're supposed to. I don't regret spending my money on that useful tool! Thanks a lot :)

Ordered on the 24th of December, arrived on the 11th of January in Germany - considering all the holidays inbetween, that was really fast.

Great addition for developing with the ESP32

High quality board! It even comes with an WROOM32 chip, USB cable and a nice little case.
This is a must have, if you cosider designing your own ESP32 PCBs.
With this Frogo Board, you can test the WROOM32 module, program it and remove it without any problems.
It will help me a lot developing soft- and hardware with this chip.

Comes with an ESP-12E chip and USB cable nicely packaged in a little case.
Makes testing raw ESP-12 modules waaay easier. No more need to solder anything for quick testing :)
The on/off switch is also a usefull little feature.

Enjoy the vintage effect with square-ish pixels !!

For 2.42" Monochrome OLED I2C display

This screen is about 10 times the price of its old little 0.96'' friend but is worth every penny/cent.

Although the screen has its own metal shielding, it was meticulously packaged in a plastic box and put in a bubble wrap enveloppe.

I've been testing it on a few projects that already include a (smaller) SSD1306 and did not have to change a single line of code, it works just fine with various drivers.
