Great board

Would have appreciated more documentation but there wasn't anything surprising, my existing ESP32 code was ported over quickly with ease.

Finding a board with this exact set of features is difficult and I am pleased with the result.
The only things I would wish for is a lower consumption design and a mini SMP connector for a GPS external antenna.

Just as it was described in the photo. Seller shipped it pretty quick and I'm happy with it. Can be a bit difficult to get used to finding your cards in a wallet like this, but the main benefit is how slim it is. No more bulky pockets, and a very sleek (nerdy) design. Cheers :)

Great minimalist wallet for nerds

Bought this to replace my ridge wallet clone. It's actually thinner than my old wallet and doesn't have a money clip, so it's flatter. It looks awesome and I can't wait to show it off to my programmer friends. One of the PCB plates did have a small scratch on it, but I don't mind because it's going to be in my pocket with my keys, so it's probably going to get scratched anyway. Getting cards out of it does seem more awkward than the ridge wallet, but I haven't used it much yet so I'm probably just not used to it. This ships from the Czech Republic and I'm in the USA, so it took 4 weeks to arrive (this was during covid, so overseas shipping is generally much slower than normal). But don't let any of that dissuade you, it's an awesome little wallet and I would definitely recommend it!

The only Teensy CAN adapter there is -- and the best! These little boards solder right on and give you dual (or single) CAN busses. Installation is easy and they work great. Integrated termination resistors make everything neat.

Remapping CAN0 is a bit of a pain, an example of setting it up with the FlexCAN library would be great to have on the page here.
Also note that leaving Rs floating will cause slightly strange behaviour. If it's pulled to positive, it is effectively in 'normal' mode where there is no speed limitation on the drive transistors; grounding it shuts off the drive transistors altogether but leaves the receiving hardware powered up; but doing neither of those allows the resistance between the pin and 3.3v to control the slope (effectively the output power) of the output drivers.
So basically just pull it to 3.3 unless you're doing something special.

OLED does not work, no sample, no support

For CAN32 0.91" OLED Expansion Board

I bought the CAN32 board together with the OLED extension.
The documentation is really bad and no example code is avalable.
But I finally managed to run my code on the board.
But I absolutely failed to get the OLED extension working. Paul from fusion promised me to send sample code 4 weeks ago, but even after asking for the promised code nothing happend.

So stay away from it

It won't boot unless it's being flashed, making it useless.

I bought several of these V2.1 ESP32 boards to use as prototype hardware. It works very well under both Arduino and Mongoose and is easily flashed, and it resets and starts after it is flashed. Unfortunately, applying power to the 12VDC vias provided does not cause the board to start, even from a bench supply with plenty of current available. Applying power using the USB-C port from a computer also fails, although in both cases the power LED lights. If I apply power using the USB-C port from a 2.1A wall transformer it will boot and run.

So, there seems to be a power inrush problem with the design. No schematic is provided so I can't diagnose it, and a note to the seller has gone unanswered. If I could get this board to boot I would love it. As it is, I can't make much use of it.

UPDATE: I have tried everything to make this board boot reliably. Thinking its a current inrush issue, I added a caps the Vin, u to 1000uF, no luck. I confirmed that pin IO0 is being pulled high and pin IO12 is kept low. I have tried Arduino and Mongoose. An incredible amount of time has been spent on this issue with no help from the designer. Accordingly I'm lowering the rating.

Can to BLE project (V2.1 board)

So far so good. It's been really easy to set this up in the arduino ide and get it working.

The only issue I've had so far was when my program included some SD code. I had to pull IO0 on the esp32 down myself to get it to program again even thought the CP2102N should do it for you. Can't wait to try the GPS module out next.

Works great, but MUST set txAlt and rxAlt for FlexCAN

The Teensy 3.6 has two pairs of pins that can be used for CAN0: 3 & 4 or 29 & 30. The default is 3 & 4, but this adapter connects to the alternate pins 29 and 30. If you use the collin80/FlexCAN library, you have to set the alternate pins when you initialize the bus.

Can0.begin(250000, defaultMask, 1, 1);
Can1.begin();

The 1 and 1 above tell the library to use the alternate pins. 500000 is the baud rate. Can1 doesn't have alternate pins. It will start with the default baud rate and mask unless otherwise specified.

You will also have to define defaultMask at the top of the sketch:

Shipping time 5 weeks, no response on emails

For professional company's buying here won't be a good choice.
First order had to wait 5 weeks so we already had to buy alternative product.

Second time before ordering contacted seller, asked how many on stock, seller promised to to send immediately after payment.
After payment no reply to emails anymore. No tracking nr or whatsoever.
No idea if and when we will receive goods.
Shipping cost are high (€24,-) so you would assume it's quick right, but after 9 days still nothing.

Still not able to get it working

As pointed out by others the lack of schematics and hard communication with the producer render this product startup very hard.
Moreover I'm still not able to get it working with the CAN bus I have, the producer suggestes to unsold the termination resistor - I would have preferred a jumper since configuration changes for anybody.

MicroPython not working

For CAN32 - An ESP32 dev. board with CAN-Bus (V2.1)

I bought this board in mind to program it in microPython. Flashing the latest firmware (esp32-20190805-v1.11-187-g00e7fe8ab.bin) works with no problems. But I could not see the Python REPL prompt (>>>) !

CAN work with USB connected but not with 12V. As already noted in other reviews, it would be nice to have the schematic.

Finally, I got the board to work. Here the code: https://github.com/ubx/CAN-Logger.
But then I powered it with an original Raspberry power supply (USB-C, 5.1 Volt, 3 Amps) and the board died, the USB to UARTconverter gets very hot.
But maybe just a coincidence ?

Beside having quickly answered to the request for an additional item (that by inadvertence was not delivered and required a Paypal claim to do so), the seller is not answering requests for information about the product (i.e. Will any Teensy 3.6 GND and 3,3V able to provide sufficient current to the module?) and to provide a correct invoice.

I hope I can figure out how to build a opcua (open62541) gateway .. maybe the chip is too small to do this but i'll try
Some example scripts on how to use the module would have made the start a little easier.

I have got the dual can-bus on teensy and everything is soldiered, i have been trying to make it work using the recommended library but still no luck!!,
is there a way to show how to connect it ? i Tried using CAN0 and CAN1 and the alternativeCAN0.

is there way that shows how to get it done and how to make it work please that will be so helpful.

Very nice board

The shipping took a while but when it arrived I was impressed and pleased.

The notes say you have to remove the SDCard when programming but in practise I found this wasn't necessary.

The expansion connector is interesting and if it exposes an I2C interface or a UART I'd suggest adding a U-Blox SAM-M8Q daughter board as this would allow the construction of a very small CAN logger with GPS. Failing that, a battery backed RTC would be useful to add a timestamp to the logs.

Great little device

For CAN32 - An ESP32 dev. board with CAN-Bus (V2.1)

Bought the CAN32 to play with NMEA2000 (boat can network) and the ESP32. Everything works as promised and the price is very reasonable.

As noted in other reviews, it would be helpful to have the schematic or at least more details on the connections but it has been posted since then. I had doubt about how the SDCard is connected, it is SPI and MISO/MOSI/CLOCK are 19/23/18. As noted in the other comments CS for the card is 17.

With all of this I was able to make a NMEA2000 logger that records all traffic to the SDCard (see https://github.com/ttlappalainen/NMEA2000_esp32 for the driver) in one afternoon.

Thanks for putting this product to market - I look forward to the next revision!

Awesome wallet. Looks great and does what it should do!

I have been using the Void Wallet() for over a few months now, and have gained quite some nerd credits from coworkers and others. The wallet looks great, easily stores several creditcards and even a few notes in my case. The component markers and rulers come in handy almost daily.

A pdf detailing header soldering, etc would be helpful.

A jumpered or removable 120 ohm termination resistor would be nice.

Header soldering is fairly simple, just line up with the bottom of the Teensy and solder in place (illustrations available on product page.
I have considered a jumper for the resistor, but space is very confined and most customers prefer to have the 120Ohm resistors soldered in place.

Hardware works, but lack of documentation caused problems

I bought the CAN32 hoping that it would be an easy way to log CAN data using Arduino. Unfortunately, there is no schematic for this board or other documentation, which caused me to spend an entire weekend trying to get the CAN functionality to work. The problem was that the CAN transceiver Rs pin (mode select) was connected to pin 27 (IO16) on the ESP-WROOM-32 module and needed to be driven low, and the Arduino example code that the product page links to does not do this.
Very disappointed in the lack of simple documentation or working example code, I should not have to reverse engineer the product in order to be able to use it.

Communication was bad. Tried 7 times with multiple different methods. Like others, I had to initiate a PayPal case to get anything response or shipping. Took about a month.

Terrible communication, no warranty, not keeping promises!

For TinyTracker GPS/GSM/CAN for Teensy 3.1/3.2

Bought an TinyTracker GPS/GSM/CAN for Teensy 3.1/3.2 after a lot of struggle I got it work and out of nothing it stopped working.
After a lot of hassle I got in contact with Paul and we negotiated that I send the complete(!! The Teensy+TinyTracker, Gyro Addon, SD-Card addon (Worth; €20+€95+€23+€8+Shipping back to Czech Republic = >€170 ) unit back.
So I send my complete Teensy (€170) back to Czech Republic.
Paul confirmed 28 of april 2017 he received the unit and also mailed me he was working on it (if it were any problem he de-soldered everything).
After this last message there's an complete radio silence for about 7 months.
In those 7 month I posted 7 messages on the Forum and all without response of Paul.

I feel really ripped off !!

Reading other reviews about lack of communication, order/shipping updates I would advice everybody(!!) to not buy at Fusion!
