not working as expected!
For Cerdas UWB Tracker
Purchased 4 of these boards, they are very difficult to get working. To date I have spent £200+ and nothing works, it looks as if the CH340 driver will not work with this board even though it has a CH340C on it? Unlike V1 of the board that has a CH340G
Not sure if I'm correct but it is a hunch that the CH340G is different to the CH340C. The CH340G required an external crystal oscillator to function while the CH340C includes a built-in crystal oscillator. I can't see an external crystal? X1 is blank so I expect the chip to be a CH340C, looks like it is!
So a connection issue that makes the board difficult to use!
On-line there is only V1 documentation not V2.xx it would help it it was up to date! and connection issues were resolved. There is a notorious issue with windows and CH340 drivers. This should be just a simple plug and play, I have spent the last two days trying to get these boards working on several computers and always the same issue the serial connection either won't connect or drops out.

Regarding your observation about the CH340C chip and the missing external crystal oscillator: our board is designed for flexibility. By default, we use the CH340C chip, which doesn't require an external crystal, helping us reduce production costs. However, if the CH340C is unavailable, we can use the CH340G chip and external crystal with the same PCB design. This ensures we can maintain production even if supplier stock varies.
