Works exactly as advertised, it is easy to set up by just reading the documentation provided on github. 10/10

It was super easy to automate our home's MVS-15 unit using this board with Home Assistant, and it has been working perfectly for the past 2 weeks. The documentation is a bit limited for my taste, but sufficient to get things working if you are a tiny bit tech savvy. Some learnings that might be useful for other users that decide to purchase one for themselves:

- The board is made to click in to place inside the casing of the Orcon unit's housing, even though at first it might not be apparent. Check the pics on the Github page for the right orientation if you are confused about how it should be oriented.
- If the device isn't capable of finding the Wifi network that was configure on it, it will start broadcasting its internal network so you can connect and configure a new connection for it.
- To bypass the unit's PCB as the main controller of the unit, enable "switch.mv_unit_speed_bypass_test" and change the % value of "light.mv_unit_speed_test" to adapt the fan speed. The way I approached it, was I wrote down the "mv_tacho_test" value that was shown for each default setting of the unit (i.e. the ones mapped to the 1, 2 and 3 modes of the Orcon remote), for reference, and then checked which % of "brightness" yielded the same pulses/min, so I could then use that % in my automations/scripts.

The seller is very responsive and easy to communicate with, so you can feel confident you will receive the help you need if you do run in to issues.

Great solution for integrating the Orcon device in HomeAssistant.
Nice PCB that can be installed in the Orcon device very easily.
I have the Orcon Compact 10-RHB and was unsure if this controller would also work for this unit, when I asked the seller I got a quick response and was told that I could try and if it didn't work I could return the PCB.
The PCB doesn't fit in the housing of the Compact 10-RHB, but since it's in the attic it's no problem for me that the lid doesn't fit anymore.

Installing the PCB was very easy, just follow the instructions on the Github-page.
Documented well. Setting up the device, customizing and uploading the firmware through ESPHome was easy (the builtin option to flash through Google Chrome works!).

One restriction is that you have to choose to either use the factory PCB or this controller. The controller can not 'overrule' the factory PCB and thus you can't use the remotes that come with the Orcon unit (btw I feel the factory remotes from Orcon aren't very responsive/have long update intervals with humidity and documentation/explanation about them is very limited).
Since my home's filled up with sensors it's no problem though, I can control and automate it through Node-red/HomeAssistant.
I replaced the factory remotes with physical switches (for the Ms.) that can control the unit through Node-red/HomeAssistant.

By default HomeAssistant detects the device as a light. Change it to a fan by adding a template in your YAML:

This solution works very well.
What you get is an Wemos D1 mini plugged in a custom PCB.
This has a slot and clicks in the ventilator above the factory PCB.
Disconnect FPCB from ventilator (JST connector) . Connect to OWCPCB.
Connect OWCPCB for FPCB.
Same for 220V connector (pull the mains plug first !).

But first program the Wemos with ESPHOME. There is an example script but your creativity is the only limit.

It took me 30 minutes to get it all working in a basic fashion.
Now I am working on refining the automations based on local climate conditions.
This solution allows me to use all the possibilities of Home Assistant with the orcon exposed as an esphome device.
