This sprinkler controller hardware works well with Home Assistant and requires minimal effort to control via scripting/flashing.
While a little more cumbersome to use than commercial options, if you want a wifi enabled controller that supports local control and is fully customizable via software then this is the product to get.
The controller is in a nice case and the screen works well along with the customized ESPHome software.
I plan to control with wifi to avoid going into the garage but manual push buttons are also present for running watering programs.
I was able to install in an old controller box easily and the seller is updating software as needed.
