Robot shield does not work

What can I say...
I ordered the linkit 7697 with the robot shield. It arrived fairly quickly however, it doesn't work.
The entire right bank of servo ports is dead.
There is zero documentation this is a pain because, if you go to upload the arduino code, you'll find it does not appear in the ports selection.
This is due to missing drivers, you can find the drivers out there however, it'll take a bit of googling to get the right one and get it installed properly.
The source code is rudimentary at best, if you're using a windows machine, the code will not compile.
There are better, cheaper, more reliable kits out there with WAY more functionality.
Buy another kit from amazon, you'll be disappointed with this one.

And "source code" come from where? If the "source code" is Arduino file (*.ino) This is no compatibility issues with Windows or macOS.
