For Pink blink Valentine heart - LED learn solder KIT
The kit is very cute, and the 3x purple LED is quite novel. There is a lovely "soft fade" effect between the different LEDs, a nice alternative to simple blinking, yet still without a microcontroller or other "magic box" components that would be harder to explain to beginners. There is a little hole as well to turn it into a necklace, once you have cleaned the flux off. The parts are all 0805 or bigger, not too difficult, and the pads are a good size for hand soldering.
The only issue would be the lack of any spare components, apart from some extra LEDs (which I am looking forward to re-using for other projects). Make sure you don't drop any!
Shipping to the UK was a bit slow, but I blame Brexit for that.
