The quality of the printed parts is amazing as someone who prints! Everything is well thought out to allow someone with zero coding skills to set one of these up in home assistant with the blueprints, the youtube setup video's is just a bonus. Had the device setup and customized in under 30 minutes. Can't wait to buy more!

This is a great addition to my Home Automation setup. I can now have a screen that tells users what the options are, so activating Home Assistant Scenes or controlling my Sonos it all works great.

Excellent HA switch plate, ongoing development and quick improvements. What seals the deal is the developer communication and responsiveness. It's hard to emphasize just how great that is. This by itself is worth purchasing the pre-assembled product even if you can put together the whole thing on your own. He provides excellent documentation on the process if you want to itch your DYI side, nonetheless.

HA Switchplate is excellent

I now have three HA Switchplates in service in my home. I really like them. In fact, the HA Switchplate is one of my favorite home automation things in my house. The third HA Switchplate that I purchased recently solved a problem for me. I have implemented a manual alarm system in Home Assistant using Konnected Alarm Panel Pro boards in my alarm box (to replace the old alarm system curcuitboard installed when the house was built). I replaced the old alarm keypad (mounted on the wall) with tablets mounted on the wall, running Fully Kiosk Browser; however, trying to enter the alarm code on a tablet did not work very well. The tablet screen did not seem to respond well to attempts to press buttons on the screen to enter the alarm code, generating complaints from family members trying to disarm the alarm. So I installed another HA Switchplate on the wall, (my third one purchased recently), and one of the screens I use on this particular HA Switchplate is the alarm screen for entering the alarm code. It works instantaneously. As a bonus, I also get additional functionality provided by other screens available on that HA Switchplate at that location in the house. The customization available in an HA Switchplate is a great feature. In the future, I will be able to more easily change the screens and the functionality of the HA Switchplates in my house, if I choose to do so. I watched a live video stream by DrZzs in which Luma described the customization for HA Switchplates that will be available soon in Home Assistant using blueprints. I have to say that I really like Luma. Thank you for coming up with the HA Switchplate!

Great product, excellent documentation - wife approved

I only needed something to control the Hue lights in my master bedroom, which previously had no wall switch (only a pull chain). I bought this with the only feature I thought I'd need, or use, was a simple light control. This switch plate is much more useful and user friendly than I expected! Not only do I have more control over my aforementioned Hue lights, I use the other functions available in the switch plate much more than I realized I would.

The documentation available, and built in features out of the box are amazing! It's great to have the templates for so many possibilities laid out for you, with the super majority of the code written. As a newer Home Assistant user when I bought this, it was helpful in learning the software.

Most importantly for me - this passes the wife test. The nice thing is that the switch works like a switch as expected, meaning anyone who isn't familiar with doesn't have a learning curve to figure it out. For the wife and the rest of the household, any "smart device" is only appreciated if it just works all the time, without knowing any special tips or tricks. This does exactly that, and it does it very cleanly.

Powerful, clean and polished product

I used this to replace an old 4-way X10 wall transmitter with the HA Switch plate. I am using it to control 11 Sonoff basic modules via MQTT. While the HA Switch plate is originally intended for Home Assistant, because it is so flexible and speaks the common language of MQTT, I was able to pretty easily use it with my Homeseer system. I use Homeseer events to initialize, respond to button presses, and update the UI in response to other device status changes. One of the 8 included button layouts worked for my, but the Nextion software allows even further customization.

This was a great addition to my home automation system, and a great value!

The only improvement suggestion I could imagine is offering a slightly larger switchplate option. The wall around my switch box was not in great shape and this barely covers the hole. However, since it is open source, I could make those changes and print my own!

Home Assistant Wallplate

Love this device. The make is great, for a 3D print. I am very impressed. I would like to order 4 more but I think you are out of stock. Please let me know when more are available! There are a few bugs, but I believe they are related more to home assistant. If you reload the automations, the displays stop working. Not a big deal, you just have to restart home assistant.

This device is great for turning on scenes, lighting dimming control, seeing the weather.

Thanks for the feedback! The behavior you've experienced with reloading package-based automations is in fact a Home Assistant thing. A Feature Request has been posted for this capability which you can vote on here: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/reload-when-using-packages/52664
