Like many of you, I was cutting up a USB cable (the 5v line) in order to make proper current measurements with my DMM. This board is so much easier and stable to use. Also, forget about those in-line digital USB volt/amp meters. They are horribly inaccurate. This way is much better because at least I can use my trusty DMM.
I really appreciate the convenience of this little board, and it's much better than an assemblage of parts on a breadboard. It's especially useful when programming a few ESP-01's in succession.
2018-10-01 : Still liking this board for programming ESP-01s. But I've added a toggle switch on leads with female connectors to replace the jumper. I've also drawn an arrow in silver sharpie on the top side to remind me which way the ESP-01 is supposed to face.
