My name is David Watts.

I am a web developer by trade and an electronics ethusiast. Arduino and Raspberry Pi are pretty much my comfort zones but I like to play around with a lot of projects.

I have a YouTube channel and find that is the best platform to share some of the more visaul project I like to explore. I review a fair amount of products that are sent to me or ones that I buy for myself. My audience on YouTube is mainly people interested in electronics but also people who are just curious about technology.

I consider myself an eternal student, I can always learn something new and I am always prepared to be wrong.

A fun kit to build!

For Binary Crap Clock Kit

This was a great little kit to build - I used a GPS module with mine for increased accuracy. It's a great conversation piece!

Love this! And it's a little bit challenging too

For Crap Badge Kit

This badge is anything but CRAP!

It's nearly all surface mount components so if you're not soldering every day this is the perfect test to keep your skills sharp. Avoid sneezes when you're handling the resistors - they are very small.

It's really cutely designed and the light dependant resistor is a nice touch to make it that bit more interesting.

I had a lot of fun working out how it does what it does. I'd not used a dual flip flop in this way so it's cool to pick up a new trick.

quite a fun little kit

I really like the design of this thing and it's just a fun little smd-practice and it does look very nice in the end. i think a schematic would've helped if you ran into any issues, but i just looked on your channel to find the schematic. all in all, amazing!

Neat Kit

For Crap Badge Kit

The USPS drop the kit off so I started putting it together right away. Pretty hard to solder something you can't see for me anyway at age 58. But it was going better than I thought until I dropped the 4.7uf 0805 Capacitor and it bounced of my desk and onto the carpet floor. I looked down at the floor for a minute and said to myself I'm not gonna even bother but I had a electrolytic 4.7uf Capacitor and stabbed it on and it doesn't mind it at all ,work's great except half the LED's don't work I think what happened is I kept repositioning them to many times and cooked them. So I ordered some more LED'S to finish the badge I even got red & blue LED's to alternate them it will be awesome maybe even one of a kind. Nice kit David.

Great Project

For Binary Crap Clock Kit

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the development of the Binary Crap Clock Kit on YouTube, but I was really disappointed when I was too late to order the kit the first time around. Fortunately I was successful on the second round, and I have just finished soldering the Crap Clock and all is working brilliantly. I am really pleased with the Crap Clock, and I really enjoyed building it. Many thanks David for an excellent project and purchase.
