Quality parts, not exactly what I expected
For ATmega328p Breakout Board
This is a high-quality board and a good set of components. For some reason I didn't realize when I ordered a few of them that some of the components are surface-mount, which made it significantly more complicated to assemble than I expected. Re-reading the listing now, it's pretty explicit about the SMD parts so I don't know how I overlooked that. Assembly instructions beyond a photo on the product page may have helped here.
If you haven't done SMD soldering before and want to experience it, this is a nice inexpensive way to cut your teeth. If you don't enjoy working with SMD parts, you'll want to go with a larger/more expensive break-out that uses through-hole parts. I've done some SMD before this kit but it was mostly larger components like LED's, and the capacitors in this kit are considerably smaller than anything I've tried to solder before (about 1/4 the size of a grain of rice).
