I got a few ideas for retro computing-related products, but all this is just a hobby... a geeky one ;)

This is not my full-time job, so I typically "manufacture" batches of about 4 per weekend :) If you want something and it's "out of stock", just put yourself on a waitlist and I'll start working on another batch.

I wish that I hade one when I started for over 35 year ago

Where nice and easy to use, and the software is open so it is easy to adopt to my needs.

When I now restarted to play with my old 6809-"modem" build, so made this it fast to debugging and write and adopt some new code, and fun.
As it was open code I could adopt my "need" to easy, like S1-records.

Game changer

For EPROM-EMULATOR-DIY-ARDUINO

When messing with 8bit z80 systems I found myself making a lot of EPROMs. This device revolutionised my development cycle. The reset function automates it - I can edit code, run a little command line utility and the z80 system reboots within a few seconds. So very, very useful.

An incredible time-saver for code development!

For EPROM-EMULATOR-DIY-ARDUINO

Early in 2020, I began watching videos from Ben Eater about his 6502 computer experiments. I was immediately fascinated and began building and adding on to the computer design. As I added more complexity, the process of removing EPROMs to reprogram became very tedious. After some online searching for a solution, I ran across this emulator. This emulator works very well, and it makes the enjoyment of doing these kinds of projects so much greater.

My setup is Visual Studio Code with the Retro Assembler assembly language extension. I am currently coding for the 65C02 and emulating for the 28C256 EEPROM. I made an adapter for my 28 pin ribbon cable emulator probe and lifted one IC pin on the emulator board for using this as a 28C256 EEPROM emulator. I have considered adding header jumpers to the emulator board design to allow selection between the 27256 and the 28C256 pinouts.

I can honestly say that I would have never been able to iterate enough times through my code changes to get this project working with all the devices I have added without this emulator. It’s been fantastic, and I look forward to using it on many more different projects!
