8 times larger than a 328 Nano
For MightyNano 644/1284 MCU board for Arduino
The 1284 MCU is a fine solution to the problem of insufficient memory and too few interfaces on the 328. The MightyNano is well made and is programmed via the Arduino IDE using the MightyCore. The board is larger than the 328 Nano with 1.0" spacing. So, to breadboard a design, I used 2 breadboards (without power rows) side by side. Be sure to review the MightyCore pinout before designing -- the MightyNano pins do not have the same assignment as they do on an Uno or a Nano. This review helped in the scaling of a design originally created for a 328 Nano. The onboard USB/Serial bridge made programming easy and if a new bootloader is needed, you can add an ISP header.
The board comes assembled, with or without headers, and since I prefer machined pins I added them myself. The board is well-made and after installing MightyCore, I had no problems programming and using the board. I would recommend the MightyNano to anyone wanting a more capable Arduino solution.
