I ordered this kit on impulse a couple of weeks ago. Ordered on February 7th and received the kit on February 17th (I’m based in Norway). In other words, lightning-fast shipping! :)
No parts were missing, and the documentation on the website was thorough. I spent two evenings soldering, assembling, and flashing the Raspberry Pi. Looking forward to experimenting with ITS and the programs available. Spacewar is, of course, first on the list! :)
I chose a 16GB Raspberry Pi 5 with the Pimoroni NVMe base and a 512GB SSD to use with the PiDP-10.

Assembled kit had issues

For PDP-11 replica kit: the PiDP-11

I bought the assembled kit but the LEDs are not aligned properly with the faceplate which spoils the look of the unit. I've asked the creator for suggestions on how to resolve the issue but have not received a reply in over two weeks. Otherwise it all worked fine once I installed the Pi.

A very fun kit

For PDP-11 replica kit: the PiDP-11

Assembly was very easy for someone experienced with through-hole soldering. No issues at all there. I only had one minor issue - I wanted to get panel mount USB and Ethernet connectors, but none of the linked products were in stock. I couldn't find any with 30mm spacing between the screw holes, so I ended up using a Dremel tool to slot the screw holes for 28mm centers. Not a big deal, and not even visible once the connectors were in place.

Great kit, looking forward to a lot of good Blinkenlight fun - thanks very much!

Quality product!

For PDP-8 replica kit: the PiDP-8

The PiDP-8 kit could not be easier to build if you ask me. It took me two nights, but only because I had to take breaks to be a good husband and father. Other than that you can get it done in a few hours if you have experience with building kits like this. If you don't, it won't take you that long at all.

I even took my time to place and solder each part individually rather than my usual approach of placing multiple parts, securing them, and then soldering them all at once.

The software setup was easy as well. Indeed I had the simulator up and running before I started building the kit. Now it's all together and running and it's so much fun for an old guy like me to be able to flip switches to select a memory address and deposit a value, or watch the lights to be able to know what the machine is doing, or to stop it with a switch and single-step through the instructions the same way. Thanks, Oscar, for making this. In the next couple of months, I intend to order the PiDP11/70.
