I'm an "old school" nerd, with a background in Embedded Computing, Underwater Robotics and Coaching Youth Robotics teams.

I got my Applied Physics Degree in Adelaide, Australia, and discovered that I loved microprocessors. This was when the Intel 8085 and Motorola 6800 were hot stuff.

Fast forward 40 years and I've traveled the world, worked on all sorts of robots, including one at the site of the Titanic. I run a public charity to teach Robotics, and support a community of Youth robotics teams. I live in an Energy Efficient home in the mountains of Western Maryland that I designed myself. I share it with Lisa, my lovely wife of 33 years, and two cats called Chai and Latte.

I still love squeezing brains onto small PCB's, and teaching young middle-schoolers how to create a technical products to solve difficult problems.
