An amazing soldering station with incredible versatility
For Soldering Station RT1
The station is just awesome! I have been using Weller WSM1 stations for the past few years and wanted something similar without paying the Weller premium.
I initially wanted to buy the RT soldering pen, but it was out of stock. Thankfully I discovered this product and I am very happy that I did.
The station is well designed and works as intended. I tried 3 different soldering tips and it seems to be performing as advertised.
The station arrived quickly and it was well packaged to avoid any damage in transit.
I will be trying out different 3.5mm cables, as the one included can be improved upon in terms of flexibility and wire gauge. I plan on printing a "handle" portion to fit over the 3.5mm socket, similarly to Weller WXPP handle. EDIT- actually realized that the seller already has some designs in the gitlab repo.
Thank you for designing this product and I recommend this to anyone willing to up their soldering game- having the ability to rework individual 0.4mm pitch IC legs with a 0.2mm chisel tip under a stereo microscope makes you feel like you have some sort of soldering superpowers.
