Great ADSR

For ADSR Envelope Shaper (Eurorack PCB Set)

Built two of these - nice easy build. Really not much to say other than its a great ADSR - does exactly what you would expect, and even has provision for trimming the CV response so that a pair of these track together.

Wow!

For Fatkeys™ VCF (Eurorack PCB Set)

Wow! - A 2144 ladder filter that sounds just like a classic Moog filter, but which actually tracks beautifully - amazing. Nothing more to say - I bought 2 of these and am using both all the time to add character to my patches. One minor gripe (but not worth subtracting a star) - I wish the description stated that the adaptor PCB was not needed. I bought 2 adaptors with my 2144s and had them soldered on before the Fatkeys PCBs arrived in the post, only to find that I could have soldered them straight on the board.

EDIT: my mistake, I read the description again when I saved this review: "Board accepts SSOP and DIP16 packages and adapters".

Great sounding filter

For 2Q12 VCF (Eurorack PCB Set)

One of the best sounding filters of its type that I have had the pleasure to use, and it makes a pretty good quatdrature VCO too (it even tracks reasonably well!). I initially had some problems debugging a fault that resulted in no output. John sent me the schematics of this and the other modules I have bought from PMf and I was quickly able to trace the fault (a Chinese 27k resistor that was actually 27R!). Great value - I will definitely be building more of John's modules.

Great filter

For 2Q12 VCF (Eurorack PCB Set)

I really like this filter. You can get some really interesting and useful sounds with it. Easy to source parts, easy to build. The only concern is the lack of attenuator on the cv inputs, but it's not a big deal. I think an airtennuator, or a homemade DIY version (like I have) is a good companion for this.

µVCO

For Micro VCO/LFO (Eurorack PCB Set)

I first heard of Tindie after a maker friend (Circuitbenders.uk) asked what his customers thought seller sites other than eBAY. I had a quick look through what was on Tindie and stumbled across PMfoundations and thought in for a penny in for a pound. I ordered it as it seemedvery, very reasonably priced and shipping inexpensive - it arrived well packaged and very quickly.

I love the PCB and panel - simple straightforward design - great documentation ,quick and easy to build, dead easy to calibrate - and in use the VCO is great it's turned my Mother 32 into a beast!

I'll definitely be back for more modules soon!

Perfect kit for trying out SMD soldering

For Buffered Attenuator (Eurorack PCB Set)

This is my second attenuator kit from PMF. I'm using the first as a standard build with the 2Q12 VCF, it's a great companion for the filter. The second will be part of a custom-paneled combination 2Q12 + attenuator for my large rack.

Great VCO

For 3080 VCO (Eurorack PCB Set)

I have several of these (in fact, I have a performance rack that is nearly all PMF stuff) and am very happy with them. Excellent price, great sound, easy to calibrate and linear and expo FM. Lots of functionality in a small footprint.

One of my favourite filters now

For 2Q12 VCF (Eurorack PCB Set)

The 2Q12 VCF is amazing, one of my favourite filters. Lots of modulation inputs and a thick sound more like a 24db ladder. I even compared it with my Moog clone ladder and it easily held its own. Some people might feel the lack of on-board attenuation for the modulation inputs is a downside but I do not at all. Couple it with an attenuator and you have a perfect combination, and an attenuator you can use for anything else too.

There are many weird and wonderful things you can discover with this filter but the provision of the multiple F and Q control voltage inputs means you should plan on a separate attenuator (at least for your envelope output) if you plan to use it for more conventional music.

Great VCO, excellent value!

For 3080 VCO (Eurorack PCB Set)

I bought two of these 3080 VCOs. Rich sound, tracks well, and with many way to patch it into your system. I built both of them at the same time and the two together took about five hours to build, probably half that time to build one. I think the price for what you get here is a really good value. I messaged the maker at one point with some questions. Quick response and very good customer service!

I bought it for the sine output! After a little help from the seller (my fault) that thing tracks nicely (actually a little more accurate than my Intellijel Atlantis)!
BUY IT .. better buy the big version for the features, I didn't have the rackspace!

Great sounding VCO, PWM on it best I've heard from any euro VCO (Nick Batt would be proud!). Also, excellent customer service from PMFoundations, super quick shipping and all around a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

For Dual VCA (Eurorack)

Excellent over all. The module assembled nicely and works as expected. the PCB face-plate is very slick. The documentation is very thorough and it was quite easy to calibrate. My only gripe is the solder pads are quite small, so you'll need a very steady hand. 5 stars

Excellent sounding oscillator. Tracks perfectly. I had a bit of trouble tuning mine (due to my own error) and got super quick and superb help from the manufacturer. Excellent product and service all around. Highly recommended!

Finished two VCAs

For Dual VCA (Eurorack PCB Set)

Fairly easy build and great communication from the vendor. He helped me with some mods that worked out great and I'm using the two VCAs in my rack right now. The VCO is on the bench and almost ready for testing too.

Really good VCO with excellent tracking and easy to build!

For 3080 VCO (Eurorack PCB Set)

I bought the PCB and panel because I already had most of the parts needed to build this. After calibration, I plugged it into my modular and it has really excellent tracking and great sound! I had some questions about the board and messaged the maker; they got back to me right away and were incredibly helpful. Can't wait to see more modules from them!
