A beautifully crisp display
For Graphic OLED Interface, for RC2014 and compatibles
One thing that I've noticed, is that it is actually impossible to take a decent video or photo of the display so that it gives it justice. The speed that the pixels transition between on and off is incredibly fast, so there is very little (if any) blurring during fast moving animations.
The board comes with a decent user guide, with Z80 assembler routines for initialisation and display, to allow you to program it straight away without having to understand the OLED controller datasheet.
The OLED display, itself, seems to adapt itself lovely to scrolling applications, but I've found that blitting an image to the display works well, if experimenting with bitmapped graphics and animations.
