An electrical engineer with over 30 years experience. As a practical engineer, I actually design the boards I design for my own use, and add features that I know I will actually use. I know the use cases and design for them. My work is really varied. One day I might be on the set behind the scenes of a major Hollywood action movie. The next I might be in a new school installing CCTV, Alarms and access control.

The Wiegand to OSDP interface board for instance was designed so that I could reduce the cost of installing a new access control system at a community FM radio station I do work for. It is something I knew they needed, and something that I was sure that other clients could use, so I write the software and designed a board for it. And the rest they say is history.

In my personal life, I love Ham Radio (VK2TDS) and long distance running. I am not as fast a runner as I once was, but running really is my passion.
