The product name for the BusRaider pretty much summarises what this self-build kit presents to you: I'd add that it's a great aid to development of your own, software-defined machines or as the means to create and test your ROM code for a standalone RC2014-based machine.
The kit supplied has good quality components - I had a slight issue with soldering some of the components which seems to be down to some residue on a few of the through-hole pads, but once cleaned-up, it was a straightforward build. At Version 2.2, the designer has taken the trouble to extend the UI in order to setup the included ESP32 module, enabling connection to your own WiFi network. The ability allows code developed off the rig to be imported as well as the importation of pre-existing code, such as games and other software as well as the environment (ROM) in which such software runs: your RC2014-base can become a TRS-80, Spectrum as well as being able to run RoMWBW et al.
This is a great product for someone like me that likes to tinker the hardware and software. It makes the process so much more accessible!
