Only downside is that I’m a newbie to this and figured/assumed I could plug in a 12v power supply and the board would only receive its 5v I don’t see how else I could use 5/12/24 power supply . Yup burned that fucker down lol. I have other that do that. But it was my own fault. Time for a new D1 as we speak.

Great turn key solution!

Everything has been great with these boards. I Ordered two and will order more. I've been stalled installing my LED projects due to power management issues. Yes, I could build my own, but I have a long list of projects, which saves me a lot of time. I highly recommend it!

Working great.

Great board in a compact size. Works perfectly. As a test tried pushing WS2811 over 70ft of 22awg, worked without issue. Relay is actually a great feature knowing the output is powered off when not needed.

Great Product, Fantastic service

I have purchased two well made boards and placed them in use immediately. A nice feature is the builtin relay function ensures that the power is switched off to the LED'S when the software is on standby. The seller was very helpful when I encountered a slight problem. I will certainly purchase two more boards after the holidays.

Works Great

For ESP32 WROOM USB-C D1 Mini32 form-factor board

This is the 6th or 7th shield I've used from this vender. This one had a specific purpose to control off-the-shelf govee string lights with an outdoor 12v psu.

It worked perfectly, and essentially made the project plug and play.

Don't get a quinn board from overseas. My only regret everytime is not ordering an extra or two.

Excellent board for WLED

This is an excellent board for use with WLED. The mini32 form factor is compatible with various shields and proto boards available. 16MB storage is great especially if using custom WLED builds like Moon mod. Very happy with this purchase.

One of the best purchase experiences ever.

After much research on which WLED hardware/setup to get, this product became the top choice. Being me, I still had questions and wanted to 'double check' some things so I reached out to the seller (Serg) and I've gotta say I'm super grateful and appreciative to see someone respond as fast, thoroughly and attentively as he did. He answered my questions and made sure I'd be setup for success. I really wanted to try the moon mod version of WLED which is EU only, but I asked and he said no problem. Will install that for you, no charge. Good luck getting Best Buy, Amazon or any other place to do something like that. Looking forward to my new hardware.Product was shipped within 6 hours. Also, as for the product itself, I searched everywhere at first on amazon to find an esp with the 16mb on it and wasted tons of time in the process as I never found one. So availability in addition to the aforementioned confidence that I'm getting the right hardware is absolutely priceless in wled land. Trust me, if you're new to this and not retired then just get one ready to go. There are so many things that can go wrong when you're rookie roberto like myself.

Great board. Very well designed. Simplified my project

Plug and play!

For ESP32 WLED pico board

I saw this little board and I wanted to try it out, it worked out of the box with sound-reactive WLED pre-installed, the mic is also already set up and ready to rock and roll! No guesswork, basically plug and play! I honestly was expecting to fiddle around with the settings until getting everything up and running, but for the first time getting my lights ready took literally 2 minutes.

Compact and lots of features

Used these for motion activated night lights. Took a trip to the wled discord to figure out the pin out scheme but after that did everything I was wanting it to do. Been running them for the last couple of months and been reliable. Will be buying more when back in stock.

Great affordable board!

This is a great little board, much better than the cheap ESP01 RGB shields you can get from China, I bought a few and I'm happy, you can add a momentary button super easily. I also love the addition of the pinout in the documentation, makes it easier to get started and takes out the guesswork (even though it's a pretty simple board to begin with)

Perfectly Simple

Awesome compact board! Makes wiring up a wled project simple and quick! Something that stood out to me were the screw down terminals. Keeps the wire secure and in place. Compared to other boards out there. Definitely recommend for any wled project.

Great board!

I bought 2 these, one to drive my AmbiLighting with WLED and a remote instance of HyperHDR (Hyperion fork). It works great. I also printed the case for it so it looks great too. I am not sure if there is documentation for the pinouts (mapping ESP-8266 GPIO to the markings on the board) but I can't find it, and that would be helpful. I reached out to the maker and will update my review when I hear back. At any rate, I highly recommend this for any WLED project.

Update: I got a response from the maker. DI is GPIO2 and CLK is GPIO17.

Great product that does what it says it will!

Used this product for decorative indoor Christmas lights for family members. Product arrived just as described and works perfectly. The only thing that would be helpful is a little better documentation for the mini-shield version that tells you which pin is which, I eventually figured out which pin the clock output was connected to on the ESP32 but a simple document like the full shield would have been much nicer. OVerall, I will purchasses this product again if I need to create another string of lights!

Easy setup and great design!

The board design and quality are extremely well done! Just looking at the board and assembly assured me that I would be highly unlikely to encounter any issues with bad soldering or flaky connections. The github page provides all the information anyone would really need to getting this plugged in and ready to go in minutes. Would definitely buy from again.
Also, the link to the 3d printed case was a perfect fit! Cleaned up my install nice and neat, which was a welcomed bonus. Would love to have the grabcad files available for the mini, similar to ones provided for the full size shield. Great work on this shield!

Great Product

Right out of the box I had it working with LED strip in 15min. Really nice and convenient product for the basic WLED program that you can download on the web. Really its hard to beat this product as it comes programmed and ready to roll, almost no effort or development time. One way to make this better to add some documentation or just links to tutorials, but after I figured that out, it was super easy.
Bottom line, if you want a super compact WEB enabled LED controller, this is it! Thanks!

Man, this WLED Wemos Mini Shield was exactly what I was looking for in my WLED project.

Sergey was also a huge help in getting it up and running, with fast and excellent communication.
