SmallRobots is an initiative with the purpose of promoting (small) robots to those interested in them, and making them more prevalent by lowering barriers to entry.

Anyone who has ever tried to build a robot, no matter what their skill level or the aims of their project, no matter whether they were successful or not, they will confirm one thing: it wasn't easy. SmallRobots aims to make it easier, enabling more makers to succeed, and enabling those who would have succeeded anyway to take their project further. We do this primarily by sharing learnings and providing examples, but also by providing the occasional bit of kit to boost your robot.

Our goal isn't to make a big profit, we don't have the scale to do that. Our aim is to make these things available, either at a price makers can afford, or in a shape makers can use, or as open hardware/software when it was previously closed.

We are a growing, welcoming and inclusive community, and we look forward to welcoming you and your small robots!

Richard, the curator of this store and designer of the PCB boards is a part time maker and robot enthusiast. His goal is to build small robots the way they should be, and create the missing pieces as he goes along. If others find them useful, that would be great!
