Cool build and design to get me started using c again

For ESP8266 Led Matrix Clock DIY Kit

The design works well and was easy to assemble. The parts came well packaged and everything was in individual sleves. I made a few modifications to the code to improve the way the clock displays based on a 12 hour format. Added an "a" and "p" to the bottom left of the display. Adding them to the time display function in the LedMatrix.cpp, fonts.h and the Clock.h files. Do you have a 3d-print stl to enclose the clock? I'm working to get it built for my HA, but keeping the original 8266 as is. I have a couple of versions to test the different versions. I'm having trouble keeping the display as low as possible. I have set the following down in AutoBrightness.h, but after a bit they get almost to full brightness again... I think what controls this is in AutoBrightness. Any help would be great. Thank you for the clock.

Great stereo I2S board

For Loud ESP32

I was using ESP32-CAM, as it was only available ESP32 board with PSRAM nearby. For my audio app of WiFi webradio I was using it with single MAX98357.
Process of uploading was a nightmare, as you still had to wire GND to GPIO0 manually to put board into the download mode, then disconnect it to let it run and because of that I was looking for a suitable alternative.

I have found Loud ESP32 board on Tindie. It looks like great replacement of whole setup as it has also MAX98357 (not only one but two, that means you can even have a stereo sound with left and right channel). I haven't so much experience before with WROVER boards, so I have ordered Loud ESP32 with ESP32-S3 version instead. I was able to port my original .ino app that was based on ESP32-S (AI-Thinker's ESP32-WROOM-32) to ESP32-S3 within a minute, as I had to rewrite only the pins I was using in my original app. My app was also running mDNS record to access webradio's webserver via browser without knowing its dynamic IP, OTA (network COM port) and webserver for choosing pre-defined mp3 / aac / ogg stream or to run stream from SET url. It is also used for dynamic volume control. Webradio itself was based on Audio library (ESP32-audioI2S).

Working like a charm. Everything related to board is well documented on the product page.
For my purposes it is enough and great for for 2W / 3W speakers.

new product, platinum service

For Louder ESP32

Superbe product, bought this thinking it had bluetooth but BLE is not really bluetooth which i didn't know, a bit misleading BUUUUUUTT i ended up with a bricked board and Wrote to Sonocotta, they were MORE than available and replied real quick, Platinum Service/Help, they took the time needed for me to have the board running again.. Real Happy, Buying a second one but W/ Bluetooth this time!!

As for Tindie, Tracking stopped in Poland, had no details once it left the frontier/customs but delivery took less than 2 weeks for Canada.

Would not hesitate to buy here again!

For Louder ESP32

I purchased 2 ESP32-Louder and got exactly what was promised.
Even international shipping was super fast. The package arrived tracked and undamaged in 3 days.
The basic documentation is perfect. The advanced docs are almost perfect. I would wish for a classical pinout lookup image so it is more comfortable to hook up custom components to the pins where the ethernet module could go. Then docs would be also 5-stars for everybody. For basic and intermediate usage the docs are, again, perfect!

Two more infos:
- If you decide to get the Louder with the squeezelite-esp32 firmware already flashed, be aware that there is a bug with the equalizer (EQ) in the delivered firmware version (1670). You have to change the loudness back (and forth) to apply the equalizer. The newest firmware (at this time it is 1681) has this issue fixed

For HiFi Raspberry Pi Hat

I have an office music setup with a B and W Zeppelin and Chromecast but wanted better, seamless connectivity... I've used another rasp pi/hat setup on the living room stereo before and wanted the same for my office. This smaller unit has the same resolution and feel and was too easy to set together. I use Moode and the rasp pi imager. I highly recommend this unit or any other that comes from Andrey/Sonocotta
