Fairly easy build, great desktop amusement

For Joule Thief Cat Kit

I initially bought this for one of my kids, but it has remained in my office on my desk using up the last bits of life in batteries that formerly powered our many electronic devices. I would say a functional build is possible for a beginner to soldering, but the cleanest looking result might require slightly more skill. The instructions are straightforward and the quality of the components is top notch. Has been in almost continuous use for seven months without a problem.

Slow shipping, but AWESOME!

For Joule Thief Cat Kit

This was the very first thing I ever bought from Tindie and I must say it is awesome. Took maybe 10mins to assemble and now I think it is a permanent fixture - it's seriously cute. The shipping was quite slow but when it arrived it was well packaged (seriously) and the documentation was top-notch. Thanks heaps for this awesome little project!

Great quality. No instructions...

For Jack-O'-Lantern

It's a wonderful product. I bought their Joule Thief Cat as well. The kits are very well designed and easy enough to solder the surface mount components without a rework station. As of 01DEC2021 there are no assembly instructions posted. Almost everything is identified in the silk screen on the boards the exception is the bodge wires. The kit is put together really well and easy to work through though. Hopefully we get the build doc soon! No communication yet from the shop owner but it's the holiday season. Will update once I hear back.

Contacted the seller to confirm that this item was shipped and had NO response.
