Great all-in-one solution!

For Upsy Desky

Previously I was using a DIY solution to control my standing desk.

Why did I switch to using Upsy Desky?
The answer is: 1) a much nicer case, 2) more reliable PCB & 3) better firmware.

It's a great all-in-one solution!

Works great!

Works flawlessly with my Uplift Desk FRM053-2 and Home Assistant. I've rarely been as impressed with a product like this. Get the enclosure--it's well worth it for seamless plug and play--and don't forget to have a short CAT6 cable on hand. I used a 3M Command Strip to attach it to the bottom of my desk. Big thanks to the creator for making this available.

Love everything about this thing!

Appreciated the quick shipping given the fact that the item was out of stock for a bit and I was bummed to have to wait for a re-stock. I struggled a bit to get things configured but TJ was quick to reply on Discord, replying before I could do a little face palm and then trigger a quick reboot on my router. Resolved the Home Assistant connection issue instantly.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I love everything about this thing! I’ve already got system level shortcuts created on my work laptop and can now trigger desk moves with a click. My wife would walk into my office from time to time, pretend to trip, and catch herself on the stock controller to move my desk up. The only question is if I configure similar shortcuts on her phone so she can do it remotely. 🤔 😂

This thing is amazing, just got it today and set it up in just a couple minutes after printing my case. Home Assistant immediately detected it as a new device so all I had to do was adopt it, could not be easier, and ESPHome devices are always so nice to use anyway. Got a sweet automation going where I can control my presets with my keyboard directly, for anyone curious you'll need a MQTT broker, then install Mosquitto and Autohotkey v2 on your device with the keyboard, once you've done that you can use this as an example automation in Home Assistant:

Great product

Works, great product highly recommend. Tested on (Fully) Jarvis Desk (JCB36N2CA). Before I had my own custom solution with NodeMCU, but this product will save you a lot of time and will look great in the 3D printed case.

Great product, easy setup

I'm using my Upsy Desky with a Desky Dual Sit Stand desk with the Desky Smart Bluetooth Controller (which is not very smart at all). Setup was a breeze. Auto-detection worked and my existing presets were ready to use in Home Assistant immediately. Any changes I make to presets on the stock controller work via Home Assistant as well. Excellent product!

Must-have for any compatible adjustable desk

If you have compatible adjustable desk - it’s a must have. Even if you already have some presets and display on it - it just makes some things possible, like setting height exactly right down to actual engine accuracy. And if you have started smart home automation - it’s no brainer as well for getting stats on how much do you stand or sit.

For the product itself - excellent quality and just works. It even got me surprised by being powered directly from RJ45, so no need to use USB at all. And it’s cheap when you compare it to price of any reasonable desk.

Great controller, pretty fast shipment (international)

The Upsy Desky enables the connection between my Fully Jarvis and Home Assistant. The installation process was straightforward, especially with some understanding of Home Assistant, and the device works reliably (at least for the last hour or so I have used it).
In my case, the setup took around 10 minutes, with a slight delay caused by forgetting to plug in the other end of the RJ cable. Home Assistant detected the device instantly, and the provided documentation and ease-of-use features, such as Bluetooth login and captive portal, are appreciable.
The device performs its intended function well, allowing users to integrate their standing desks with their Home Assistant systems. The additional features and clear documentation contribute to a positive user experience. (Some more comments on the stock.yaml what the different features do, would be helpful).
One thing to note for European customers: Customs charged an additional €13 for this shipment.

Now I just have to connect this with my watch to move the desk up if I was sedentary for too long...

Everything works perfectly on my Furna E2

Brilliant product! I was looking to create something myself, but this is too perfect to even bother trying.

Shipping took a little while to the UK, but that's to be expected. It arrived well packaged and already assembled.

Setup was easy using the USB Serial configuration directly in the setup documentation. After that it appeared in Home Assistant right away and everything worked without any issues. I have a Furna E2 purchased in 2018.

Exactly what I wanted

For Upsy Desky

I figured I was going to have to develop this myself, but was super happy to find someone had already done it. And done it well!

It was trivial to get the device on my walled-off WiFi network and then poke it with curl. I wanted this so I could automate raising my desk to standing height overnight so that I stand in the morning. I lower the desk around lunchtime, but if I come in the next morning and it's already at sitting height, I'm likely to just sit again. Being able to raise it overnight helps me avoid just taking the easy path.

I printed my enclosure and used the included hardware. Stuck it to the bottom of the desk with some double-sided tape. Made a tiny patch cable to keep it tidy and I'm super happy!

The product is awesome - works so well with home assistant and my Elgato Keylight & Stream Deck. I now have a button on my Stream Deck called meeting that when pressed - raises my desk and turns on my Key Light.

The device I didn't know I needed but now cannot live without! Very easy to setup!

Fantastic! This is a terrific little device. This was easy to setup - I had it out of the box and controlling my desk in minutes! The Home assistant integration is perfect and exactly what I needed. This isn't something everyone (or maybe anyone lol) *needs* but if you're a home assistant nerd like myself, buy one ASAP! HIGHLY recommended.

My desk is moving up in the world.

I've owned a Fully Jarvis desk for about 8 months, and always thought it a shame that one of my most expensive office items remained inaccessible to smart home automation. About a month ago I discovered a few methods on GitHub that could provide the height automation I need, but despite being a DIY-er, all the options were just difficult enough that they delayed me following through.

Then last week I discovered the Upsy Desky listed on Tindie. Placed an order and the unit arrived 6 days later. The instructions were incredibly straightforward; I had the device connected to my WiFi network and configured in Home Assistant within 20 minutes. I went on to create a toggle button for my HA dashboard, allowing me to switch between my two most used desk heights, as well as Shortcuts in iOS so I can adjust the desk with Siri voice commands.

Had I not discovered the Upsy Desky, you'd probably discover me six months from now, a newbie losing my mind as I struggled to arrange a bunch of wires in an ESP breadboard. Instead, you'll find me on the other side of my house from my desk, cueing it to move up and down, just for the heck of it!

I love this thing

Do I *need* to be able to control my standing desk with a RESTful API call? No, absolutely not. Do I *love* being able to control my standing desk with a RESTful API call? Yes, absolutely yes! This is such a fun little device — it was dead simple to set up and worked immediately without issues with my Fully Jarvis desk. I have no idea how I'll use it in practice (maybe a cron to force my desk up before daily standup?) but for now I'm just having tons of fun playing with it and toying with various automation ideas. Thanks for a great gadget!

Exactly what I wanted!

I was researching how to make this exact device when I stumbled upon a link to this in a reddit form. Figured I would have spent more than $40 worth of electronics, 3D printing, and time to learn it on my own. I'm very happy with this! I integrated it with Home Assistant easily by following the clear documentation.

I have it running on a simple automation that raises the desk to standing position 1 minute before my daily morning meeting if I'm working from home that day.

Does what is says and dev is responsive!

Received this product 12 days after ordering and purchased the kit fully assembled. Hooking up to Home Assistant and getting it working was a breeze and documentation is very helpful. Had small firmware bug right out of the gate but was able to fix quickly and the dev was responsive on acknowledging the issue and adding it to the next firmware version.

The 3D-printed case is of okay quality. There is some layer shift and small bridging issues on the case that I received, none of which effect the function of the product.

Overall I am happy with my purchase!

Easy to integrate into existing esphome setups and configs

Very well written documentation for a painless setup with existing esphome systems. Customizing the default configuration and re-flashing was also easy with the latest esphome dashboard. Now to just hook it up to influx and gamifying my standing ratio... the actual hard part.

Great gadget to smarten up your desk

For WiFi Standing Desk Controller

This controller does exactly what it says: it allows you to control the uplift standing desk over the network. Setup was super easy, and the integration in homeassistant only took one click.

Now I can track/log the height of my desk over time, and even schedule height changes.

Did I need this gadget when the buttons are right there? Probably not, but it is oddly satisfying to have this automated.

I would recommend this controller. The seller has excellent communication, documentation, and ships promptly.

Amazing Product for $25

For WiFi Standing Desk Controller

This thing works, it took me less than 5 minutes to open it and get it working with Home Assistant and ESPHome Install. The 3D print is of great quality and the docs and flashing site made setup super easy.

I have an uplift desk and it plugged right into my controller and even kept my presets.

It was shipped quickly and came with a quick start guide.

I always wanted to do this but didn't want to give the time to the project so I was happy to find a plug-and-play product that integrated with my automation systems already.

Would recommend to anyone who has a supported desk and ESPHome.
