Well designed - working perfect

For 170V High Voltage Nixie Power Supply

Very good nixie power supply, well designed and manufactured.
I use it to power 4 IN-16 tubes and it works like a charm.

I made a small PCB that can be used with an RPi Zero or ESP-12E as controller, communicating with up to 4 daughter boards via I2C. This nixie power supply is also placed on the base board. On each tiny daughter board I placed an 16channel I2C Port expander, that drives an RGB LED and the nixie pins via BSS127 MOSFETs.
This works perfectly.

The Nixie power Supply is awesome! But one question I would have. Is it normal for the transformer to get hot? Should I put a heat sink on it?

Yes it is normal. Assuming 85% efficiency with 6W power in, you lose about 1W of heat; mostly on the transformer and switching fet. 1W heat dissipation is enough to get components warm but a heatsink is not required.

Superbly designed Nixie power supply

This thing is great. I had a cheapo eBay Nixie supply fail on me in the past. I am in the process of building an IN-18 clock from scratch and would hate for a bad power supply to die, or worse, damage the valuable tubes! This seems to work well so far. I really appreciate the use of quality components that should last for many years with no issues.

All-around excellent

For 170V High Voltage Nixie Power Supply

The build quality of this module caught my eye. I wanted something that would reliably power 4-6 tubes and many of the other supplies had poor technical notes on their voltage and current ratings. I'm happy to report as of today that this modules powers 4 IN-14 tubes just fine with minimal sagging at 5V input. The included postcard was very thoughtful and a nice touch. Thank you from Canada!

Works as advertised

For 170V High Voltage Nixie Power Supply

Worked just as advertised. Was even able to supply my Nixies with just 5V Input(with only a little bit of noise).
Shipped with thick and protective packaging.
Loved the Postcard :)
