A great way to have an optical ADB mouse.

For Apple Desktop Bus ADB II Optical Mouse Retro Board

I've looked all over, trying to find an optical ADB mouse for my Mac SE/30 and have never found one. I consider this to be a bit pricey,
But then it is a niche product and small runs simply cost more. The board was extremely easy to install, I had to look through about
four different ADB II mice to find one that would work with the board. While I was waiting for the board to arrive, I took the mouse
apart removed the old bored and retrobrited the case, and when the board got here, I installed it and it works great. I highly recommend
this product.

The one thing I could wish for would be a way to keep the old mouse ball trapped inside the mouse as a weight, to give the thing some heft
It just feels a little lighter than it should, without that ball weighting it down.

one of the best retro-computing products i have purchased

For Apple Desktop Bus ADB II Optical Mouse Retro Board

This is a perfect product. the idea alone is fantastic, the execution is flawless, and the result is remarkable. I immediately told a friend: it's so good, i’m having a logical disconnect--i’m looking at the little ADB mouse and expecting typically janky rollerball nonsense, but it's now a gorgeous smooth optical mouse, and it Just Works. It worked immediately with my 30+year-old Powerbook 180; i will try it with other machines post haste. The install took seconds, literally seconds; all the parts just fit, the included retainer bar is like a chef's kiss, and the mouse popped back together effortlessly. It could only be better if TT included a sticker to replace the original with his own logo and Product ID. I immediately ordered another kit, and hope to order more.

If you're thinking about getting this? STOP thinking and Add To Cart. There is no counterpoint to this product.

For Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) Optical Mouse Retro Board

This board is awesome -- nice to be able to up the CPI a little when using my Mac SE without a lot of desk room next to my modern Mac.

Helpful notes:

Model# G5431 (Made in Malaysia) is NOT compatible -- it uses a different board revision and mounting hole pattern.
Model# A9M0331 (MADE IN USA) is NOT compatible -- they use a different board revision and mounting hole pattern.

Thanks so much for your review! Coming out soon is a 68k application for changing the settings with a vintage Mac such as your Mac SE.

A board for Model# G5431 (Made in Malaysia) is in the prototyping stage and a board for Model# A9M0331 (Made in USA) is in the design stage.
