Perfect product, well designed & open-source

For fpx: easy USB‑C power for all your devices

The fxp is a perfect product, well designed & open-source. The configuration / switching the output voltage and maximum current is easy as it is done via smartphone screen blinking pattern to the photo-transistor on the fxp. The shipping from Australia to Czech took a bit longer than expected, anyway the tracking from Australian post was perfect, up to date. As I am opted-in for Czech Post duty and TAX services we went through the process in few days. I am very happy with the product and the personal support by Mansour, the creator of the project. Very handy to have for quick projects

Ordered two of these and it's very nice to be able to add a quick power source with support for a variety of voltages and currents to my projects. They are very easy to use! Thanks a lot! If the come back in stock I'll be tempted to order a couple more.

Replace all the legacy power connectors with USB-C

For fpx: easy USB‑C power for all your devices

I'm using the fpx right now to power the Thinkpad I'm writing this review on and it's awesome!
I've known the predecessor https://github.com/oxplot/fabpide2 already and actually wanted to buy it when it was out-of-stock and a bit later the fpx was announced - I'm so glad I did wait. Easy configuration via https://fpx.oxplot.com/ (can also be self-hosted for offline usage) is just the greatest thing, such a low barrier of entry and works reliably on maximum screen brightness.

Having the fpx available opens up so many usages for different devices and different means of USB-C power delivery via charger or power bank.

The only tricky thing is how to mount the fpx nicely, needs to be located in a device's case (which could require some irreversible destruction) or in a separate case which one needs to built. Also the holes for connecting the wires (not the mounting holes) could for some existing cables be a bit larger in diameter, currently they measure 1mm which for sturdier cables could be too little.

I've had this thing on my desk for less than an hour so far, and I'm just thrilled with it. Especially as I'm looking to power different projects (esp through things like mobile power banks,) being able to quickly and easily switch between different PD standards with nothing more than dropdowns and a flashing screen is going to be an absolute dream now.

What an awesome little device, clever design, and adorable execution. Well worth the price of admission.
