This could be a first soldering kit, it is that easy, although there is a lot to solder, (you'd get your practice in!). The best thing is that is it is a module which genuinely expands the AE's capabilities and is nothing like anything else available. Can be good on triggers but really excels on messing around with CVs, highly recomended.
This was only my 2nd DIY build, the BOM and instructions were very clear and I had no problems.
The best bit is that the Dead Band is a great addition to the AE Modular; you could consider it a sort of filter but it's weirder than that! Worth trying on CVs and audio, on the latter I really like it with a sawtooth wave direct from the oscillator - comb filtering/pulse width modulation type effect.
Another easy build and clear instructions from Kurt. Great for boosting your kick or any sound up from getting lost in the mix. Looking forward to what will be next.
First time soldering project goes quite smoothly owing to clear instructions (paper instructions enclosed with project plus online photos for reassurance). Four racks of AE Modular welcome this versatile module into nearly every patch. *I also ordered and built the QUAD BOOST to same, positive results. Looking forward to more DIY module projects to build and add to my AE Modular system.
