So, I ordered the 'kit' version without fully grasping how SMALL the SMD components were! I don't know why, but I assumed it was through hole, so that I could build it with my kids. A good opportunity to learn SMD, but for next year. Get the fully built version! It's worth the extra $4.00
I am excited to move on to SMD components. I purchased a stereo inspection microscope which allowed me to complete the project without difficulty.
The kit is well documented and hackable.
