I tried everything still getting "Failed to initialize. Try resetting your device or holding the BOOT button while selecting your serial port."
tried the jumper wire, reset, changed the com port etc. everything, sometimes the flash light starts blinking automatically.
is there any way to return?

Hi. If is faulty you can easily get a refund or replacement contacting me via messages in tindie. However, I recommend you to check the video how to upload the firmware, it might be complicated the first time because you need to bridge the IO0 and GND pins together (while you reset it) with a piece of wire or something similar, this is to enter the firmware upload mode.

it`s complete - yet complex.. not my thing (sorry)

For Mayhem v2 for Flipper: ALL in 1- ESP/CAM/SD/NRF+CC

I bought this module because of it seemed convenient having all-in-one.
The seller offers good craftmanship that is put together. What I personally thought was disappointing is the handling afterwards:

I own a standard WifiDevboard and still prefer using that one for merauder and EvilPortal.
Then again I realised the camera module is quite useless (IMO°)

I was super excited but once I started using it I maybe had expectations that were too high.

- firmware flashing -> still not been able to do it with the webupdate, offered in the instructions
- the apps in Xtreme firmware combine the Evil Portal with Merauder app, while the standard app seems more intiutive (select html etc)
- watch out if you order for abroad (I had to pay 87€ on toip of the silver pack because there was no receipt or purchase bill - in the box...°)
- would be nice if the case would also protect more of the front from the board

Don`t take it personally Erwin, thanks for tha handling: just doesnt work as smooth as expected
(maybe in the future work on a firmware flashing method like the ESP flashert or something...)

So it`s just not for me, I`m considering a switch to a different all-in-one module..
one that does not rely on custom made MAYHEM apps

I understand Jonasz, I know it is not for everyone. I dont know if you noticed that the board is just a ESP32, so you DONT really need to use my apps, you could compile marauder and use the official apps, or even run anything on the ESP 🧐 it could be your favorite board maybe that way.

Also, bad that you got that extra fee in the post office, there in no VAT integration/prepaid on Tindie, but I guess it is around the normal percent of customs duties for your country. I try to make it smooth, but this is out of my control.
