Easy to put together, however, no on-off switch, and the battery is not easy to remove either. Two of the LEDs twinkled on and off constantly, even in the dead of night with no fans, wind, rain, no sounds at all. The battery lasted about a week with Bliplace just sitting on a shelf most of the time. Sorry, but not a very useful project and certainly not worth buying another battery.
The Bliplace was easy to assemble, the instructions were quite clear about the polarity of the various components. The soldering work needed a bit of attention but it was not particularly difficult. Took me about 30 minutes, including me checking with a magnifying glass to ensure I did not make any solder bridges. After the "smoke test" I finished the kit, slipped in the supplied coin cell, and turned on some music. The lights merrily danced to the tune!
As a bonus, the assembled unit was just small enough to fit inside an over-large lattice-work locket I had laying around. I insulated the inside of the locket to protect the unit and inserted it. Looks splendid, with the flashing lights visible through the lattice. Recomended.
