For CGA2RGBv2 - Digital to Analog RGB for MDA/CGA/EGA

The product works as I expected without any complications. I highly recommends both product and seller if you have any retro computer with CGA.

Good little test rig if you are messing with RS232.

For T232 - Mini RS-232 Monitor and Breakout

I mess alot with retro computer equipment, a lot of which use RS232 are the primary means of communications. So this little rig is perfect when I am trying to get systems talking.

This would have save me a lot of time when restoring a SUN SPARCStation a year ago as getting the custom console cable working was a chore.

Well worth the money and is now an important part of my Serial cabling kit.

Perfect exact fit

For Replacement power switch DPDT Commodore 64/128

This is a great product and exact replacement for original power switch. I have installed one in my "SixtyClone", C64 replica pcb. I'm building an all new C64 with modern replacements for obsolete MOS chips. This switch could not be sourced through the usual vendors, so very happy to find it available on Tindie.

Nice addition to SE/30

For MACSIMM - MAC SE/30 IIsi IIfx flash ROM SIMM

I'm using this on my SE/30 to skip the startup RAM test and use the full amount of RAM without MODE32. I haven't had a chance to flash the ROM to include a custom bootdisk, but I love how that's an option!

Does exactly what it should

For T232 - Mini RS-232 Monitor and Breakout

Very nice card which does exactly what it should.

I ordered an unassembled card and could not find build instructions here in Tindie or on their website. Most of the assembly was obvious some wasn't. I figured out which end got the male and which end got the female DB-9 from the pictures. It matters since the silkscreen would wrong for the signals if they were reversed.

The resistor pack orientation wasn't obvious and the "normal" convention of pin 1 being near the silkscreen wasn't right. Fortunately, I figured it out before soldering it in place. Pin 1 is the common and goes to the ground pad which was easy to spot on the bottom traces.

What I couldn't figure out was the correct LED part orientation. The LED is one of those 8 bidirectional LEDs in a DIP package. I assumed it matters since the LED color is a function of orientation. I picked a direction which was likely wrong since good on the Tx/Rx shows as red. I think the "right" orientation is probably to have the side of the LED with the marking go towards the R-pack. I'm not sure if the design intent was correct or not since Tx/Rx normal states are reversed from handshake normal states. The way I built it shows Rx/Tx as red and RTS/CTS as green. I'd prefer if a "good" state was green on all the lines but that would mean flipping the handshake or Tx/Rx pins into the LEDs and putting the part in the right way.

If the designer just filled in these details for builders this would be a perfect project. Or just order it assembled.
