Very nice card which does exactly what it should.

I ordered an unassembled card and could not find build instructions here in Tindie or on their website. Most of the assembly was obvious some wasn't. I figured out which end got the male and which end got the female DB-9 from the pictures. It matters since the silkscreen would wrong for the signals if they were reversed.

The resistor pack orientation wasn't obvious and the "normal" convention of pin 1 being near the silkscreen wasn't right. Fortunately, I figured it out before soldering it in place. Pin 1 is the common and goes to the ground pad which was easy to spot on the bottom traces.

What I couldn't figure out was the correct LED part orientation. The LED is one of those 8 bidirectional LEDs in a DIP package. I assumed it matters since the LED color is a function of orientation. I picked a direction which was likely wrong since good on the Tx/Rx shows as red. I think the "right" orientation is probably to have the side of the LED with the marking go towards the R-pack. I'm not sure if the design intent was correct or not since Tx/Rx normal states are reversed from handshake normal states. The way I built it shows Rx/Tx as red and RTS/CTS as green. I'd prefer if a "good" state was green on all the lines but that would mean flipping the handshake or Tx/Rx pins into the LEDs and putting the part in the right way.

If the designer just filled in these details for builders this would be a perfect project. Or just order it assembled.

Really, just a perfect product. Well designed (just 2 ICs and a few passives), up to the task, compatible, and a reasonable price (could be a bit cheaper, but let's face it, it is a niche market). Keep up the good work.

A2SCSI - great addition to an Apple ii

It’s great! I’m using mine to boot my enhanced Apple iie from a Zip drive, and you can also use Sony SCSI CD drives with an Apple ii.

Works great, no complaints with the card.

Only complaint is that Asendia is a terrible shipping company - but that isn’t the sellers fault!

Beautiful results on Commodore 128

For CGA2RGBv2 - Digital to Analog RGB for MDA/CGA/EGA

I'm using the CGA2RGBv2 with a Commodore 128 for its 80-column RGBI port, plugged into an OSSC (Open Source Scan Converter). The picture is emulator-clear - razor sharp and flicker free once OSSC is properly configured. I don't have any 15kHz capable displays, which is why I needed to use CGA2RGBv2 in conjunction with an upscaler. HIGHLY recommend and good documentation on the seller's website https://gglabs.us/

I would have liked an optional pre-made USB-A power cable to be available for an extra charge, but wasn't hard to make once I borrowed the appropriate tools.

Zero problem with the shipment and delivery, the RAM expansion works in my IIGS ROM1 like a charm. System 6.0.1 and all of the games are running with no issues. Highly recommended!
