Cool project to take on, but improvements could be made.
For Gaboze Pocaio - Round 2
I found this kit to be a fun project to do over the weekend. it is a fairly simple RP-zero gameboy kit, great for newcomers as the mainboard makes building a gameboy zero much easier than compiling separate boards and haphazardly gluing them into a gameboy pocket shell.
However, I think some improvements can be made to this kit:
-the volume potentiometer would be great if it fit the Vol cutaway without much modding.
-I think it would be nice to have a USB type B fit in the EXT. port, if its possible to reorient the pi-zero vertically rather that horizontally.
-move the micro-usb power in to the bottom of the shell where the stock DC plug would be, or make the micro-usb a type C instead (moving to bottom of shell would look less awkward in my opinion, the mini usb looks very odd filling the EXT port.)
-because of the variability in how the pi zero sits on the gpio pins, the SD card slot can be way off from the contrast port, as mine is. I had to do some severe cutting to get my SD card access right. Having an SD slot added to the mainboard is a better solution I think and would more than likely fit the contrast posrt better.
-I looked for different TFT LCD screens that would work much in the way the GBZ (DMG builds) 3.5" screens do, but couldn't come up with much. I think it would be great if there were larger screen options in the future.
-include tracking to shipping, standard shipping I think should always have tracking info: I ordered Kite's Circuit Sword from the UK for the same cost in shipping as the Gaboze Pocaio and it had standard tracking.
