It arrived relatively quickly and it works just fine so far.

For 4" NanoVNA V2 Plus4

I chose the cheapest shipping option: 4PX Logistics SF e-parcel (Tracked) on 25 May, 2024. I received emails stating that it had been ordered on 25 May, 2024. It arrived at my place in Idaho on 11 June, 2024. I received emails stating that it had been shipped on 28, 29, 31 May, 2024. I've used it very little so far. It didn't come with a battery but it works just fine when it's plugged into a USB. I downloaded both the NanoVNA-QT & NanoVNA Saver software on my PC with Windows 10. It connected just fine.

Love this VNA, but

For 4" NanoVNA V2 Plus4

Mine has started to shut down and it is not a battery problem. Any ideas?

Also, I have heard about a firmware version to support crystal measurements. Is this going to be included with future units?

NanoVna V2 plus 4 delivered today

For NanoVNA V2 Plus4

I received my nanovna V2 plus 4 today, and have the classical (seen on the forum) problem of battery. I had bought in advance a 18650 battery... but in fact its length is about 5 mm too big (it includes a protection.... ). So, it could be useful to insist on that problem (choose the right 18650 battery !! with a warning) on the vendor site.
Without battery I plugged the nanovna to the usb port of my computer and it seems to work well. I can begin to play....

About the shipping: the item was ordered on november the 20th, shipped by SF eParcel and delivered (in my letterbox in France) today on december the 18th. So a delay of less than 3 weeks from China to France, which is very satisfactory.

Happy customer

For 4" NanoVNA V2 Plus4

Hello,

The shipping time was 7 days to Austria.
The needed battery I ordered locally in advance. Power supply I had in my junk box.
After inserting the battery and connecting the USB power the unit turned on as it should.
I am an experienced user of WNVAs and tested the unit to its specifications, there where no discrepancies.
On the internet you can find enough docs and SW, so far I have not updated the FW but I have joined the nanovna group.

This is a product under development and once in a while you should update your FW to get access to more functions.
If you are using it with a laptop I recommend the SW from Joe Smith https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaYBpPCo1qk
This SW is not for beginners so get used with your unit stand alone until you know the

Works great! Could use some labeling

Once I figured out that I had to do a calibration for each frequency setup and could save the setup after calibration it was easy to figure out. I am amazed at how accurate it works. Also the transformation to TDR to measure cable lengths among other parameters was great! Afterwards I found and read the manual -- really helped. I am very familiar with the HP 8753 family, and the performance of the NanoVNA V2Plus4 is comparable. For the price it cannot be beat.

Initially I was put off by the total lack of labeling, but I figured it out and created my own labels.

I am very grateful that I was able to purchase the high performance NanoVNA-V2-Plus4 at a low price.
As for the support, I recommend that you look at the bulletin board first, because most of the troubles can be dealt with by reading past threads on the bulletin board. Sometimes we get direct advice from developers. In addition, ongoing improvements to firmware could add new features for free. However, VNA is a measuring instrument for professionals, and it is difficult to even begin using it without a minimum of digital literacy. For example, if you don't know about the calibration of the touch panel, you will be mistaken that the VNA is broken and make a stupid complaint. This VNA is properly designed based on advanced high-frequency theory and state-of-the-art digital technology. I can confidently recommend it to those who want to buy it.

Pretty decent device, great quality for the cost

For 4" NanoVNA V2 Plus4

Obviously this VNA isn't like a $12000 Keysight or a $22000 Rohde & Schwarz.
But at $130 it is better than 1/100th of one of the big brands.

It is fast enough and accurate enough to do very good antenna tuning as well as basic signal path analysis. If you're a high-end professional like myself you'll end up buying or leasing something of the big companies at some point, but even with one of the fancy devices in my lab, I opted to buy two of these. Why? Because they allow me to do an on-site check of prototype installations without having to lug the expensive stuff around to places where it isn't insured.

And I wouldn't do that if I hadn't proven that its capabilities were valuable and reliable enough.

On performance for price I'd give this a 10/10. I do think the interface could do with a reliable rotary knob, in case you want to move the cursor a bit quicker to an exact point, but it can be done with the touch screen with some practise even with just your nail. (I forgot the pen on the first official use, of course.)

I didn't buy with battery, as the DHL shipping option didn't come up when I was ordering, so I haven't evaluated the charging or battery performance, I just run them off the laptop I always bring with me.

The seller is clear and pretty quick to respond to questions in my experience and shipping was handled within a few days using reliable world-wide carrier (by my own choice).

Prevagen substitute for my brain

For 4" NanoVNA V2 Plus4

Just unboxed my V2Plus4. Ratings reflect the product and shipper, not the USPS. I ordered it 11/21/20, and received it 12/17/20. 2 days order processing, 3 days China to JFK, 6 days to clear customs (holiday weekend), and 15 days for USPS NY to NC.
Yes, it requires you to put the battery in, then plug the USB cable in, b4 it will run on battery.
Yes, the Dummy load measures exactly 50.93 ohms, the exact same as others.
Yes, there is no documentation included, but it is only a click away and pretty decent. And I have been following the community for months now.
Yes, the Dummy operator has no clue, but at 78 I need all the brain exercise I can get. I want to tune some antennas.
Initial test with an RF demo kit indicates the microscopic U.FL connectors on the demo board are going to be a problem. I won't be moving them around too often. That load is 49.77 Ω. I have not calibrated the Nano yet or tried any serious measurements, but the bandpass filter looked interesting. Glad I got the 4 for these old eyes. There are 2 blue and 3 or 4 red LEDs inside. I don't know what they are for but with the metal case, they are not visible anyway. The short & open calibrators have no identifiable marks so you must look down the barrel to see the pin or no pin. I ran a black and red Sharpie around the top grooves which helps. Now to remember which is which, and on with my exercises.
It will be a while till I can say how well it works, but if you don't hear from me again it is going very well.

This is a great little unit for the HAM. Firmware seems stable. Accuracy is good. Touch screen works well. The menu system is straight forward and easy to understand. Supporting information on the official website is good. Overall this device is an impressive piece of kit for S11 and S21 measurements for the price.

Case isn't the best, everything else is excellent.

Overall great buy.

The quality of the coax cable felt better than expected. The display is small but comfortable to use with the default stylus, also great viewing angles. The acrylic enclosure is poor, some of the holes are smaller so not a great fit. But they do the job of protection in general.

I love it!

The shipping was surprisingly fast with detailed tracking and the VNA works great! I've been characterizing a bunch of RF stuff and comparing the results to the datasheets of those components. Everything checks out so far and I feel that I can trust the measurements it makes. I'm even considering buying a second one just in case and especially to support the developer. I'm already looking forward to the NanoVNA V3 :)

A cheap way of Antenna measurements

I have used this product to measure S11 and Z of helical antenna. I have used measured three antennas with it. Used its PC app for both windows and ubuntu linux. I highly recommend this product for students of Elecyrical engineering.

Great product and smooth purchase experience

Everything went well for me - purchased the full package (nanoVNA2 + case, calibration kit, RF cables). Shipping was done by TNT and I was able to track the package using their app nicely. It was paid for on 1st of August and received the package here in Budapest, Hungary today. The device works as expected and I was surprised about the (lack of) performance of some of my branded antennas.. its trully an "eye-opener" device so to say..

Good product, amazing performances.

This small device is a very amazing equipment which can be useful for all hams with a good accuracy.
For the fans, the Smith Chart is also displayed.
Offically the range is 50KHz to 3GHz but it is possible to use it up to 4.4 GHz. For the fun I have done correct measurements between 4 and 4.4GHz.
So it is usable up to the 9cm band.

You get very good value for your money on this product. I find the build quality very good. Performance is best when controlled from a PC. Use Nano VNA view as PC SW, which makes it easy for SW update also.

great tool to have

Was looking for affordable tool to buy for my iot projects.
With operational frequency up to 3GHz - great for esp32, bluetooth projects. Being able to match 2.4GHz-2.5GHz antennas with a few minute setup is well worth the investment if you're into this kind of stuff (also might be great for learning basics of rf)

This is a fantastic VNA for the price. With a 3D printed case and an internal battery, it is very portable. Bring it right to an antenna or loan it out. The time domain function is cool too for measuring cable length or looking for faults. Very well done folks!! Even though we have expensive Rohde & Schwarz VNAs, these little guys are still useful for portable work. AntennaTestLab-com is pleased.

Great VNA

For NanoVNA V2 Plus4

Product works as described, clean board with good indications and general documentation. IMHO its the best of the NanoVNAs.
The display is the same 2,8"one like in the V1 of the NanoVNA.
Battery is needed to complete it, or you can use it only with a powerbank.
