Great DIY kit
For 4Bit TD4 CPU Self-made 74 Series Chip CPU
I bought the DIY version of this 4-bit TD4 CPU, which requires only soldering the through-hole components and the 13 SMD chips. The LEDs, SMD capacitors, and SMD resistors have already been soldered with high quality saving a lot of work. The most challenging part to solder is the SN74HC540PWR SMD chip, which has a very fine pitch. The PCBs have clear printed markings indicating the correct chips and the position of pin 1. It also includes the instruction set that can be used. I'm using this kit to improve my SMD soldering skills and to have fun seeing the inner workings of a 4-bit CPU. There is a link to the technical documentation on github, which is mostly in Chinese, so it would be nice to have a downloadable document in English. Overall, i'm very happy with this kit!
