Just bought my second set
For BoardBraces
Very useful addition to my soldering station, just bought a second set for my travel tool kit!
The spring loaded spacer opens a little wider than others I've tried, allowing for more flexibility in positioning especially when smaller smd components are right at the edge of a board. Also unlike others, being spring loaded rather than a screw type clamp makes it easy to adjust and move them as you go. Magnets are strong and stay put on every metal base I've used.
If they have a drawback, it's that they're made of 3d-printed plastic so you do want to be careful if you're soldering something right next to one of the braces that requires a lot of extra heat (I've deformed the side of one, but as long as I rotate the brace so that deformed portion faces away from the board it still works perfectly) Just be thoughtful about placement and maybe move them as you go, if you need to work close to the brace's position on the board.
