Initially I had some difficulty in pairing with the mobile phone, because I didn't understand that I had to insert a cd. I suggest that to complement the video a written description would help. The product is a good update to the factory system. It has the expected sound, I haven't tried the handsfree yet but I think it will work as expected.

Sounds as good as a CD!

This module works great! This is the only way to get Bluetooth functionality in my 2005 volvo s40, with quality that sounds as good as a CD! I was using an FM transmitter before, but the staticky noise was so obnoxious. It's great that someone is still making these, even in 2023!

Amazing product

Amazing product, good quality, fast shipping, works perfectly. Instalation was easy for me, but may be a little bit tricky for some less handy and“technic” people, but is managable and the video tutorial is clear, even though I had a different motherboard and insides of the CD player (6CD), not 1CD on the video, it is easy to figure it out. Would highly recommend it to everyone!

Best decision for my V50 ever

For Bluetooth module VOLVO V50, S40, C30, C70, XC90

Installation was a little tricky because my radio was quite different than the one in the video. My radio had the motherboard mounted on the side, not the top. Had to figure out where to connect the bluetooth module, finally I looped it between the existing cable from the CD unit and the motherboard. Then glued the bluetooth module to the side of the cd unit.

Technically everything worked absolutely well, great sound and good handsfree communication. Have the feeling the sound is even better than the CD.

The only thing I regret is that I have not bought the part much earlier!

Very good technical engineering work, big compliments to the developer!

Great solution for Volvo Cars

For Bluetooth module VOLVO V50, S40, C30, C70, XC90

I waited a really long time for these to come back into stock. It appears to be a newer design different than the one in the video. The install is about 98% the same though, just figuring out where to mount the new antenna. Routed the mic to the top of the A pillar through the dash, and have no issue with people hearing me on hands free.
Comes with everything you need except a CD.
Sound quality is great, only time I remember is when the CD restarts there is a moment of sound change.
Can't wait for the steering wheel control to change song.

Works perfectly!

Instructions and video were perfect. Everything you need is in the box. Total time was a little less than two hours because I was taking my time. Works perfect on my 2006 Volvo s40 (American) with the single disc with internal amplifier. Thank you so much!!

Aftermarket car accessory of the decade

This is a great great piece of engineering. If there was an industry award for aftermarket car accessories this module should be nominated in the category “aftermarket car accessory of the decade”. Due to the fact that it integrates seamlessly with the OEM Volvo car stereo it provides for an elegance and sound quality that few - if any - other aftermarket car accessory manufacturers has shown effort to compete with. Nor can they compete with the kind of enthusiasm, engineering effort and product development required to bring a product like this to market.
To quote ABBA, I say “Thank you for the music”.

Exactly what I needed

For AUX input VOLVO V50, S40, C30, C70, XC90

Delivery took a while (understandable for shipping from Lithuania to the Netherlands), but everything arrived in good order. The installation process was very easy, just follow the provided video/document and one should be able to figure it out. Took me less than an afternoon and most of that time was spend on figuring out how to disassemble the waterfall module to gain access to the CD player as my car (2010 C30, facelifted model) is assembled a bit different (more complex) than the older C30/S40/V50 models. The module works very well after installation. I'm not an audiophile but there seems to be nothing wrong with the audio quality. The volume is perhaps a bit lower than the CD player but nothing major. Furthermore the steering wheel buttons do not work, but they didn't work on my previous car either so I can live with that :P. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Overall I'm very pleased. This was exactly what I was looking for after I overlooked "Mode"/"CD" difference when I bought the car. Great work!

AUX for the win

After years and years struggling with many different FM transmitters, I finally stubbeled onto this solution.
Using this solution I can listen to my music in the car. Sound is perfect using a cable connected to my phone.
When connecting a Aux-bluetooth module you need a ground loop isolator in between to get rid of some noise.

For those curious; no, you cannot change tracks from the steering wheel. Pressing the buttons will just change songs on the CD.

Work's perfectly. I'm so glad that you created this. Installation is pretty straight forward. Sound quality is very good but I hear some distortion when phone is maxed out, it's really not a problem just lower the volume on phone and increase on stereo.

It worked!!

For AUX input VOLVO V50, S40, C30, C70, XC90

This seller is Superman. 2005 v50, 6-disc, no aux. Just installed and works exactly as advertised. Followed the video and installation was not difficult (just keep track of your screws!). Shipping was easily tracked and arrived faster than I expected.

The adapter looked slightly different from the video, in a good way - "CD Changer" and "Main Board" were marked to avoid confusion, and it even had double-sided tape pre-installed.

I actually ran into a surprise - previous owner had to have the 6disc changer replaced so my board looked very different than the installation video and pics. Still followed the directions and, once connected, worked perfectly.

Best bluetooth solution for a C70

For Bluetooth module VOLVO V50, S40, C30, C70, XC90

Being in the situation many others are, with a basic 1CD player with no Aux input in my Volvo, this was a godsend.
Having tried FM radio transmitters for bluetooth audio, this is just a step above. The sound quality is brilliant, feeding into the CD system.
Took about 3 hours from start to finish, which included about 30mins trying to route the microphone cable behind the dash.
Documentation is great for install of the module, with the video showing all you need to know. Perhaps more information about where specifically the microphone cable could be routed, as there are many possibilities where to go.
Brilliant communication from the creator, and a great item. Finally we can enjoy our music and hands-free in our car!

Perfect

Best way to have bluetooth. Nothing more to add. But since everyone is sceptical, I'll do it.

Pairing is super fast, sound quality is outstanding (support aptx), and the phone perfectly manages changing between calls and music if you already have bluetooth for calls only.

Installation is rather easy with the documentation provided.

El envío a España parece ser que se retraso un poco mas de lo normal, al rededor de 3 semanas me tardo en llegar, realmente era lo que esperaba que tardase. El producto viene bien empaquetado y el montaje es relativamente sencillo, quizás es mas tedioso el desmontaje y extracción de la misma radio que montar el módulo bluetooth en la placa. Es un trabajo de relativamente 2 h en total y el resultado es increíble, buena y rápida conexión con el bluetooth, sonido espectacular. Es una solución como ya he dicho increíble para las personas que tengan este problema en sus volvos pues como seguramente ya se han dado cuenta otras soluciones son muy costosas y mas agresivas como modificar partes del cuadro de mandos y así, para simplemente tener lo que todos queremos jajajaj musica de buena calidad con fácil transmisión desde nuestro teléfono. El vendedor aporta su numero de tlf y responde rápido a los mensajes.
En definitiva, si estas dudando y puedes permitírtelo, hazlo, no te arrepentirás.
